Title: I wish she would work with ____.

What actors and directors would you like to see Michelle work with?

Share your thoughts, hopes, dreams, and suggestions here.

I would love to see this. I love his movies, including the Village. Most of the people that I talked to who didn't like that film felt like they got duped. They thought it was a horror movie. That was due to the marketing. It was a great movie imo. I would like for him to do an actual horror movie with her. Not Friday the 13th horror, but Hitchcock horror.

Leigh - March 20, 2006 02:42 AM (GMT)
I love his "humanity-examination" films and that's what I'd prefer he do with her, but yeah I could see a good horror one with her as well.

You know I would also LOVE to see her work with, actor-wise? Djimon Hounsou. I am kinda in love (or maybe just lust) with him right now. I know he's like 42, but damn. Anyway, I think they would look great onscreen together. Both of them have more screen presence in their little pinky than most actors who are "bigger stars" do in their whole bodies. They both just DEMAND your attention and eat up the screen with this unmatched depth and "old soul" eyes....and they are both gorgeous in an unconventional and diverse way you know...and they always steal the screen even though all they both mostly do is bit parts. Am I alone in this thought? lol

L.

P.S. Djimon is my favorite guy right now, hence his place in my av, which I don't just give out to anyone, I don't let just any guy into my slot....I have my standards. :D ;)

LilPD - March 20, 2006 08:47 AM (GMT)
I love him also. I agree with what you said about the screen presense that both Michelle and Dijmon hold.

Have you seen him in 'In America'?

Leigh - March 20, 2006 12:29 PM (GMT)
No. I've just seen Amistaad, The Island, Tomb Raider, Gladiator, Constantine, etc. Never seen that one, is it good?

allaboutangel - March 20, 2006 09:09 PM (GMT)
'In America' is sooooo good :D

He is excellent in it.

But mostly the film is just fantastic - theres 2 little girls in it who will blow youre mind how talented they are, esp at such a young age

Its about a family from Ireland who move to America for a new start when something tragic happens in Ireland. Basically thats the whole movie - them starting afresh with very little and making it a home.

I love 'In America'. Still cant get over that one little girl, years later :P

ok this is a little out there and feel free to laugh your ass off :ph43r:

but

i dunno if most of you will have heard that Cameron Diaz has hit on a new idea for a film, that she is unfortunately gonna star in alongside Justin Trousersnake  . Now why i dunno, considering theyre already filming a movie together at the minute, but shes apparantly dead set on this idea.

And the trouble is, its not that bad an idea.

An ice-skating movie <_< .

She watched a show over here called Dancing On Ice (which was crap), and it coinicided with the Olympics ice skating coverage and she went hmmm, noones *really* done that, at least not recently, and ice skating's kinda in right now. There could be something there <_< .

So this is how id prefer it to go.

Either its goes her way and Michelle plays her main competition.

OR it doesnt star either Cameron and Justin and its a vehicle all for Michelle, which id prefer :P . Can you see her using that toned and tiny body to pull off an ice-skating costume and go out there and frickin work it?! :D (I even have ideas for who could play the guy lead ;) )

So say shes the lead. She comes from a broken home in the "bad part of town" and being talented at skating gets her away from that life. She loves it and shes the best at it. She goes pro, shes determined to make it, and shes focused. She goes to the Olympics or some other high-ranking ice skating championship, and is entered in the womens singles for the USA. On the way there, she travels with her fellow USA competitors, including some guy whos skating in the pairs. Having had a bad (and possibly violent) experience with one guy in her past who attacked her, shes quite closed off. But he makes her laugh and shes not used to it. During the competition shes excelling on all her levels and is through to the final. But during the competition, the guys female partner for the pairs takes a pyschotic strop and leaves him to it. Hes allowed to find a suitable replacement (lets bend the rules). Despite her working on her own routines constantly, he asks her to step in as his partner. He tells her he likes her. She says no, that skating is her life and shes not gonna let some random guy f*ck up everything shes worked for. Eventually she agrees reluctantly to do his heats to see if he advances. She wins her singles. But either they compete in the pairs finale and dont win but give it everything, or his partner comes back last minute and steps in and they lose anyway. Either way, she goes back with her trophy. He doesnt. But they go home as a couple. (<<<<<story ™ to me in case anyone tries anything, or Copywrite or whatever)

I know its a little cheese on toast <_< , but at least the ending isnt the totally crappy everybody-wins-everything ending hollywood would no doubt write in :( . She would have to win hers because shes the goddamn best there is. But at least if he doesnt win his, he gets his girl. And its not some crappy romance subplot where she just falls for the guy, he really has to work to get her attention cause shes closed off <_< .

Up to date, non-cliched dialogue. Michelle kicking *ass* on the ice (she'd have to train hard and it would show shes capable of doing something as difficult as ice skating for her craft), and kick in a little non-cheesy romance. Sound like bull?

The thing is that we know if she applies herself to a part, there are results. Someone who just has to learn boxing for a part doesnt get asked if they wanna go pro at the end of filming. Michelle did :D . You know what i mean? Noone asked f*ckin Hilary Swank did she wanna be a professional boxer after Million Dollar piece of cr*p :P . And it would get her out of the tough girl typecast role cause she wouldnt have to be a bitch, just distant and hard to reach, maybe a little traumatised even.

Long post  ....bad idea or not though? :ph43r:

Chelle I'm sorry but this idea doesnt convince me that much...
I wouldnt mind watching it if Cameron Diaz was the female lead (wait I wouldnt watch it at all)
But I just cant see Michelle as an ice skater...
I mean, she does rollerblade but ice skating and roller blading are two different things.

coolcat - March 22, 2006 10:06 PM (GMT)
mmmmm Leigh u got me doin some deep thinkin now. sounds good to me n anyways i think Michelle could be capable of a lot more if peeps would just let her loose a bit more n stop stereo typin her in roles

There was something i got to thinking about yesterday. i couldnt get Aaliyah's song Try Again outta my head, and it was making me think about Romeo Must Die.

If Aaliyahs character had of been a latino woman, would Michelle not have been perfect for that part? If the whole thing had of been latino family versus asian family. dont get me wrong - i LOVE that film the way it is, and Aaliyah did an amazing job in it. But i was just thinking of roles that id like to see her redo rather than new stuff when i was looking at some of my dvds, and that one in particular came to mind. the death of her brother, the looking for justice/revenge, the fight scenes (esp the one where Jet Li has to fight using her body because he cant hit a woman), the scenes with her dad.

my crazy??

QT is love. That'd be interesting to see her in one of his flicks.

Can I use this as a forum to root for a third installment of Kill Bill? No? Yes? No? Never mind. :P

Yaya - February 21, 2007 06:00 AM (GMT)
If she's playing the killer, I'M THERE!!!!!!!

Nah, but that'll be cool.
QT, is VERY VERY violent as we all know.
But it depends, but yeah, I hope she does one of his movies one day.

Kill Bill Vol. 3

And Morgan Freeman and Benecio del Toro.

LilPD - April 16, 2007 11:17 PM (GMT)
I LOVE Benicio del Toro...

And Michelle in a Tarantino or R. Rodriguez flick....hell yeah! That would never fail. They are two of the most creative minds in the biz.

Jeanie - April 19, 2007 05:15 PM (GMT)
Hi,

I already said that before, that it would be nice when she would play in a Tarantino-movie in the topic on this forum: "What would you think of this?".

Next week the movie Control, where she plays in comes on the German television. I will watch, to see if it's a good movie. I can only her her in German, because those Germans are mostly dubbing all the movies, which are foreign, in German language. It's not nice, but you can't do anything about it. In my country, the Netherlands, the foreign movies all have subtitles.

All that girly talk about playing together with a handsome actor.

No!!! She has to play alongside other beautiful actresses like Salma Hayek, Halle Berry or maybe the beautiful Beyoncé or a beautiful Asian-type actress like Lucy Liu, Zhang Ziyi etc.

:D :D :D    :P :P :P

I'm about to go pray for that one!

*please, if there is a God, please let there be a Grindhouse 2... that stars Michelle Rodriguez!*

It'll be called "Grindhouse 2: Awesomeness"
