Title: Broken
Author: Me!
Rating: R
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Summary: hm. don' know how to explain this one...Read and review please!

Chapter One:

The last time my mom saw Dominic Toretto was after Vince was airlifted. I’ve never seen him personally but I’ve always felt like he was close by…like we’d been face to face before and I didn’t even know it.

From the time I was born til I was nearly fifteen years old, one of the boys who’d run with my father was in the house and by the time I was thirteen, I was working in a garage my mother owned.

It was one o’clock in the afternoon, three days into spring break; and the garage was silent except for the steady hum of the fans. I was sitting on the counter in the front of the shop with a crossword puzzle when the sound of an engine pulled me back to the real world.

“Is Vince around?”

I heard the sarcastic answer in my mind but all I could do was gawk.

“Nope. He’s out with my mom an’ Leon at lunch. Wasn’ hungry so I stayed here…” I say finally. “How d’you know ‘im anyway? Never seen you b’fore or heard him talk about you.”

Yet I felt like I’d known him my whole life.

The phone rang in the office. The stranger followed, to my surprise. It was my mother…

“Hey, Ma…”

“We’re on our way back now. Everything a’right?” I glanced at the man standing in the doorway.

“Yeah…’s all peachy. Ask V if he was expectin’ somebody lookin’ like the got-damn hulk t’ drop by.” There was a brief muffled discussion before she spoke again.

“Coyote says ain’ nobody nowhere comin’ to see him anytime soon.” She was silent for a minute. “Put him on the phone.”

“Mom, are you…”

“Austin, just do it.” I sighed and handed the phone to the guy.

“My mom; for you.”

I left the office and he closed the door after me so I don’t know what was said, but in under half an hour, Leon, V and my mother were back in the lot at the garage. She blew past me and stormed into the office.

“Leon, what the hell’s goin’ on?” He shrugged.

“Wouldn’ say…hauled ass outta the diner like mia had an extra head.”

In the office, my mom was having words with the visitor.

“I had to see this for myself.” Letty said, closing the door and leaning against it.

“You look good, Lett…really good.” Letty snorted in response, all too familiar with the ‘charming’ Dominic Toretto.

“I don’t know if I should kiss you or knock you on your sorry ass.” She moved to swing at him, but he caught both her arms, pinning them against the wall, above her head.

“I don’t know what you’re afraid of, Letty. I’ve never laid a hand on you and you know in your heart that I never would.” Dom said, his voice gravelly as his grip on her lessened.

Letty could feel herself slowly breaking.

“You might as wellhave ripped my heart out when you took off after the heist. You’re lucky Vince still has his arm, Dominic! But you know what? We’re better off now than we ever were when you were here.” Vince nearly knocked the door down when he came in.

“You need to get the hell outta here before I do somethin’ I’ll regret. Don’t make me drag you out, Toretto.” He was basically foaming at the mouth.

Leon herded me into the back room and out of this Toretto person’s sight. As we passed the office after he’d left, I saw my mom—the strongest person I’d ever known—on the verge of breaking down as Vince held her in his arms.

I pushed Leon off of me and stormed into the office.

“Vince, ya look like you need a good brawl. Go have at it with the bastard that made my mama cry.” He was about to question me. I could see it. “NOW, V!” I closed the door and sat down next to Letty. “¿ Que pasa, Mami?”

“Don’t ever fall in love, mija…it’ll break your heart every time.” I laughed, kinda half heartedly.

“Odd, I thought I’d met all the old boyfriends, Mami…” Letty rolled her eyes and sniffled.

“All of them ‘cept the one that actually mattered.”

“If it’ll make you feel any better, I can get someone to do somethin’ evil to Johnny?”

“Austin…Mia’s on probation as it is and I’m running outta favors like I ran through NOS tanks.”

“It’ll be cruel but completely 1000% legal?” She shook her head. “Hey, you can’t blame a bitch for tryin’, Ma. Do you wanna tell me who he was?”

“Only man I’ve ever really loved…I see him in you sometimes…even in tiny things…”

To be continued...

Chapter Two:

Dom’s POV

Letty was still sitting on the couch when I heard the sound of the truck from Racers Edge pulled into the shop’s side entry. The next thing I knew the younger girl I’d seen was out of the room and all over someone about the new car they’d brought to the shop.

Letty POV

Things had gotten better Since Dom left...Brian wasn’t a cop anymore and they were actually above water financially now.

What the hell am i gonna do about Dom now?

Dom POV

“Oh, I am not dealing with blondie t'day too...” Vince muttered, seeing Brian walk into the garage. He stalked towards the door when he stopped and turned back towards me. “You hurt her again, I'll fuckin' kill you, Toretto.” He growled, pointing a finger at me.

I gave Vince an almost blank stare, eyebrows raised just the slightest bit when he threatened me before heading out of the garage. I slouched back against the counter, just taking things in...all I knew was that I wouldn’t leave until I’d talked to Letty.

“I don' know who you are, but I c'n tell you this: make her cry again an' I’m gonna take a torque wrench t' your balls.” The teenage girl I’d met when I arrived here growled at me. I turned towards her, smirking. I raised my hands in mock surrender. There was something vaguely familiar about her, but I couldn’t quite place it. “You don' get t' make my mom cry 'less you *WANT* your ass kicked. Got me?”

“Letty’s your mother?” I tried to keep the shock out of my voice.

“Tell me, are *all* pendejos like you this stupid?” she asked, rolling her eyes.

“I’m not lookin' t' make her cry...” I shrug, still trying to wrap my head around Letty being a mother.

“Damn sure fooled me...” she growled at me, mumbling under her breath, “The one that got a way my ass.”

“She said that about me?” My eyebrows shot up at this.

“Don’ ask my why….”

I was pretty sure I knew why but I wasn’t gonna sit there and explain it to Letty’s daughter.

“You got a pops ‘round here someplace?”

“Dunno…pinchemadre took off way back when an' I don' know much else.”

“An’ how old are you?” I asked, nodding. I was glad to hear that Letty didn’t have a man around someplace.

“What’s it to you, baldie?”

“Just makin’ conversation…” I shrugged, laughing at the nickname.

“’m fifteen. Bout the time my so-called pops took off...”

“Fifteen, huh?” My eyebrows rose even more, trying to do the math in my head.

“Bout the time my uncle…” She pointed to Vince, “the one with the scarred up tattoo; got in some accident pullin' a stupid stunt with my father.”

“An’ pops took off, huh?” I asked, double checking.

“’s the way I heard it.”

“’s been fun, kid, but i need t' talk t' your mom.” I shoved away from the counter, heading back towards the office.

“‘Kid’? Do I look like a child to you?”

“Didn’t catch a name…?” I shrugged again, laughing a little.

“Austin.”

“Okay, well…’s been fun, Austin, but I need t' talk t' your mom.” I said, heading for the office.

“The fuck makes you think she wants to talk to you?”

“Oh, she wants to t’ talk t’ me…” I told her, turning back to look at her.

“Says who? Last I checked, YOU make her cry!”

“What, you never wanna talk t' the ones that make you cry?”

“I’m thinking my uncles don't like you much…odds are my aunt Mia won't either…”

“Wouldn’t be so sure ‘bout that…” I cock my head to the side, laughing at the thought.

“And Vince’s warning before he left?”

“Why don’t you let me worry ‘bout Coyote, huh?”

“I don’t like you much myself.” she snapped at me, turning towards a man I recognized as Brian O’Connor.

“Can’t say I blame ya, kid…” I muttered, pushing the door of the office open and walking inside. “Leon. OUT.”

“What now?” she barked at me.

“You really wanna take that tone with me, Lett?” I ask, my brows raising again.

“Tone?” She made it sound like she was so innocent.

“LEON. OUT.” I roar again.

“Ya know, that works better when you ask NICELY.” Letty growled at me.

“Leon,” I glared at her before stating again. “Would you please give me a few minutes to talk to the mother of my fifteen year old daughter?” I turned back to Letty. “That better?”

“What’s she to you?” Letty’s tone was only slightly bitter.

“Apparently nothin' worth telling me about...” I muttered, yanking Leon out of his seat by the shoulder of his jersey and pushing him out the door.

“’s not like you were here, Dominic.” Letty said to me coolly.

“You know why I had t’ leave, Letty…” I growled back.

“So what, you couldn’t spare five minutes to check up on your PREGNANT girlfriend?!” Letty roared back at me.

“How the fuck was i supposed to know you were pregnant?” I snarl back at her, slamming my fists down on the desk.

EVERYBODY knew! What, you couldn't slip in to see harry, find out like that?!”

“I was stuck in goddamn Mexico 'cause that fucker said they would arrest all of you if i so much as mailed you a letter, forget going to see Harry t' check up on you!”

“She doesn’t even know it’s you.”

“Yeah.” I laughed harshly. “That was pretty fuckin’ obvious.”

“What, you WANTED me to tell my daughter her father bailed on us even AFTER he could have come home?”

“And when could I have come home, Letty?” I demanded, my voice still rough.

“When she was FIVE!”

“Oh I could have, huh?”

“Yeah…if you hadn't taken off with your tail between your legs when O'Conner went looking for you!”

“Ya might wanna have a talk with him, Letty...'cause he sure as hell didn't tell me I could come home!”

“From what I heard, you bolted as soon as you SAW him!” Letty snapped back.

“Yeah, well...like i said, ya might wanna have a talk with him.” I snorted. “Sounds like you didn't get the actual story.”

“Or maybe you’re a fuckin’ coward like you always were!” Letty snarled.

“That’s fuckin’ perfect, Letty…” I muttered to myself.

“You should leave.” She said softly.

“I’m home, Letty…I ain’t leavin.”

“Maybe you should find someplace else to go…”

“Letty…” My voice broke a little as I said her name. I moved to stand in front of her.”

“No. Don’t touch me…”

“Letty, please…” I raised my hand to stroke her hair, but stopped before I could really touch her. “I gave up everything to protect you. The minute the statute of limitations was up I came back.”

“You were free when she was FIVE.”

“That’s bullshit, Letty.”

“Yeah? ‘s when Brian went looking for you!”

“Yeah…did he tell you he got me arrested in San Diego?! The fuckin’ second we were over the border?”

“I’m not gonna do this. Please leave.”

“You really want me to go? Gonna let me be the one that got away twice?”

“Oh fuck you. I’m happy with my life, a’right?!”

“You could be happier, Letty…” I scoffed. “Just…lemme kiss you? Once? An’ I’ll go…you'll never have to talk to me again.”

She sighed before finally nodded her consent.

I let my hand settle against her head, above her ear. My thumb stroked her cheekbone; slowly, I leaned in to her, stopping just before our mouths touched.

Letty POV:

My heart was racing as his hands cupped my face.

He stayed there, looking into my eyes for a minute.

“I love you, Letty…” he murmured, his lips just barely brushing mine before he closed the distance between us.

The kiss was soft but intent.

PM for the smut!

Chapter Three: Get Over It?!

“This guy makes you cry, then you’re in the office doing god-only-knows-what with the pendejo and NOW, you’re telling me he’s movin’ in with us?!” Austin said, pacing the length of the office.

“Yeah…’s what I said, Austin. Deal with it.”

“DEAL WITH IT?!” Austin laughed in disbelief. “This guy disappears on you for the last decade an' a half, and you just welcome him back like nothin' happened?!” She snapped. “Un-fucking-believable, Ma...”

“You don’t know the whole story, mija…” Letty answered. And I’m not ready to tell it to you… she thought to herself. Hell, I don’t even think I want he to know it’s Dom yet…even though I know she’ll figure it out sooner or later…

“Must be one hella story, then…” Austin growled at her mother. “You’re gonna be short a mechanic for a while. I quit. I’ll be at the store…”

“Fine…” Letty shrugged and nodded.

“Unbelievable…you of all people.” Austin scoffed and stormed out of the garage.

“The fuck is that supposed to mean?” Letty shot back, following after her daughter.

“It means the minute some JACKASS who could pass for the HULK comes waltzing in here, you go completely APESHIT over him!” Letty had to laugh at that…her daughter was right-on.

“Yeah, he's uh...gotten a bit bigger since i saw 'im last...he's not just any jackass, though...”

“Excuse me?! Next you're gonna tell me he's my father.” Austin snapped. Letty laughed, trying to play it off...there's no way in hell she wanted to tell her Dominic was Austin’s dad right now...not like this, when her daughter was already pissed at her.

Austin couldn’t even look her mother in the eye right then. She walked out of the shop and dragged Brian back to his truck, biting out that he take her to the store...she'd prefer Mia's company over my mother's.

Letty sighed, watching her daughter storm out of the garage. She had no idea how she’d tell her daughter who Dominic really was…

Hell, Letty wasn’t even sure she could trust Brian anymore, after what Dom said. The only thing she was sure of was that she wasn’t going to let Dominic Toretto leave her again, not ever.

A/N: i know it's short, but i PROMISE the next chappy's even better!

Chapter Four: Shrug Much?
Dom POV

I’m sitting at the store, sitting at the counter with Mia, and goddamn if she doesn't still light up the second Brian walks in, Austin with him.

“Hey, kid...” I say to her. I feel awkward around her now, knowing she's my kid and that she *doesn't* know that.

“Bite me.” My eyebrows raise, not sure what to say in response to that.

“And don’t look at me like that.” She growled at me. “I dont know what you did to my mom t' make her act like some god-forsaken race whore, but whatever it was, UNDO it!”

“Sorry, kid...can't do that.” I laughed a little, my voice husky. “'Sides...Letty’s not a race whore; never was, never will be…”

“I know that, you iron-pumping NEANDERTHAL!” She snarled at me. “She’s my mother for gods sake!”

“Yeah, well...you might wanna show your mother a little more respect, then…”

“Tha’s another thing you should know: NO ONE tells me what t' do EXCEPT my mom.”

“I ain't tellin' you what to do... just that she might kick your ass, she hears you callin' her a whore.”

“I didn't call my mother a whore. I said you made her start ACTING like one.”

“You wanna split words, fine...ain't much difference from saying she's *acting* like one an' sayin' she actually *is* one, in my mind...”

“You’ll find your opinion means jackshit to me, my aunt, my uncles and my mother…”

“T’ you? Maybe. Your uncles?” Dom shrugged. “Hell, maybe them too. But your aunt an' your mom? Think you'll find out you're wrong there.”

“I’m startin’ to wish Vince had kicked your ass at the garage.”

“He’ll probably try to eventually.” I shrugged.

“What the hell are you doin’ here…?”

“What, at the store? Was visitin' with Mia. Here in general? Finally was able t' come back to her, so I did. Y' might wanna get used t' me, kid...'m gonna be around…”

“Great…” She smiled at me…the same sarcastic smile her mother had. “Lucky, lucky me…”

“Lucky me’s more like it…” I laugh again.

“What, you gonna fuck MY life up like you're doin' hers?” I asked. “Try it and see how long I let you keep your balls, baldie.”

“An’ how am I fuckin’ up her life?” I asked, my head cocked to the side.

“She OWNS that garage, man!”

“An’?” I asked.

“She doesn’t need you comin’ in here and distracting her from the shop and her family!”

“’s my family, too..” I answered. “We all grew up t'gether.”

“Yeah, well, the guys dont seem very fond of ya, though, do they?”

“I’ve been away for a long time…” I shrugged.

“No shit. ‘s that why she never even MENTIONED you?”

“Maybe…” I shrugged again. “Hey, kid. What’s your last name?”

“Ramirez…’s my mom’s name…never seen the birth certificate so i don' know who my pops was…”

“Never asked ‘bout him?”

“Won’ tell me anything.”

“Always was stubborn…” I laughed. “You look exactly like she did…when she was your age…”

“Hitting on me won’t work, buddy…”

“Hitting on you?” I shuddered. “You’re fifteen for Christ’s sake.”

“Tell that to Johnny Tran’s boy.”

“Tran’s boy, huh? He botherin' you?”

“Doesn’ seem to get that when you get kicked in the nuts, it means fuck off.”

“An’ how old’s he…?”

“My age, why?”

“Just wonderin’…” I shrugged before continuing. “He don’ know how t'take a hint, huh?”

“What are you, my father?”

I froze for a second, mind racing.

“Let’s just say…'m a friend of your mom's...”

“Uh-huh…”

“What?” I asked when she doesn’t exactly answer.

“What?”

“What was the ‘uh-huh’ for ?”

“’s it matter?”

“Guess not.” I shrugged again.

karikocha - July 29, 2008 03:10 AM (GMT)
Ohhhhh, Trans are making an appearance....gonna get interesting.

Oh God! Cant wait to read Austin finding out Dom's her dad. Dont take any offence to this, because its just my damn mind, lol, but i cant picture Letty being older with a teenage kid, she's too youthful looking! ;) LOL. Cool fic btw! :)

Misundaztood17 - August 3, 2008 08:21 PM (GMT)
i dont think she'd necessarily look 'older', i think she'd have matured mentally and emotionally, but she'd still look younger than she is, lol...

if that makes any sense :D

Chapter Five:

“God, I’ve missed this couch…” Dominic muttered, sinking back into the cushions, throwing his feet up as his eyes starting to close.

It was still early, but he’d spent most of the day driving…add that to getting back together with Letty, finding out he had a 15 year old kid with her who didn't know a damn thing about him…Dominic Toretto was exhausted. He wanted to wait for Letty to get home before he simply headed upstairs, though…didn't want to piss her off by just assuming he was still welcome in her bed.

I’ll just…sleep for a little while…till they get back…” He told himself, eyes already closing.

Austin walked into the house as Vince peeled off down the street. What she saw really pissed her off.

“What the HELL are you doin' in my house?” He yawned, eyes blinking slowly as they opened.

Your house?” he echoed, realizing who was talking to him. “’s my house…”

“Like hell you…” Austin snorted, pulling a knife from her back pocket. “You don’t live here…now GET OUT!”

Dominic sat up, still not quite awake as his daughter pulled out a knife.

“What,” he asked, smirking cockily at her. “You gonna stab me?”

“Was thinkin’ more like castration.”

He shrugged, sitting up on the couch.

“’s hot outside…you really gonna make me go sit on the curb an' wait for your mom t' get home?”

“How did you get in here anyway?”

“Spare key’s still in the same damn place it was when I was your age.” He laughed.

Austin moved past the couch to the cabinets beside the fireplace, pulling a pistol from the drawer.

“You wanna leave now?” she asked, cocking it in a way Xander Cage would have been proud of and pointing it at the man.

“Fine…” Dominic growled, getting up off the couch. He was pretty sure the gun wasn’t loaded, not if Mia knew about it at least, but he didn’t really feel like testing the kid. “I’m goin’, I’m goin’…” he lifted his hands, palms out in a surrender gesture. “C’d you at least lemme grab a beer first?”

Austin rolled her eyes.

“OUT!” she yelled.

Dom let out a heavy sigh as he headed towards the door.

“How did you know about the hide-a-key any damn way?”

“Told you…” Dom said. “I grew up with all’a them…”

“What, an’ you just happened to break into my aunt’s house all the time?” Austin snorted.

“Lost my key a few times…” Dom laughed, shrugging.

“Yeah, okay…” Austin threw the front door open. “An’ Mia just let you break into her house?”

“It ain’ breaking in if you got a key, kid…” Dom laughed again.

“I KNOW how to fire a gun, Toretto.”

“I’m goin’…” he sighed, stopping in the doorway to turn back and look at her. “Hey…what's your aunt Mia's last name?”

“Wha’s it to you?”

“Just curious…figured it couldn't be the same as when I lived 'round here…”

“Moretti...” Austin said flatly. “She married my uncle Vince…”

“Oh really…?” Dom looked at his daughter. “’m gonna have t’ talk to ’em…? They still married…?”

“Obviously you don’t know Mia or Vince very well…” Austin laughed.

“An’ what’s that supposed t’ mean…?”

“Means Vince is completely whipped…”

“Always was…” Dom shrugged. “She wouldn’t give him the time of day, back then…”

“What’s your point…?”

“What about blondie?”

“Mechanic.”

Dom huffed at this.

“Problem..?” Austin asked.

“Lets just say he ain't exactly my favorite person in the world…” Dominic muttered.

“No shit…”

“What?”

“What, what?” Austin parroted.

Dom rolled his eyes, laughing a little, his tone rueful.

“You seemed pretty friendly with him…”

“He’s not that bad.”

“No? Would’a been home a long time ago 'f it weren't f'r him…” Dom couldn’t keep the bitter tone out of his voice.

“And we’d still be havin’ this conversation…”

“Think it would've gone a bit differently…” Dom laughed. “Unless you were a damn precocious kid.”

“I am my mother’s daughter…so Vince says…”

“Look just like her, that's for damn sure…” Dom laughed. “Can’t see any of your pops in you at all…”

“Like I'd know?” Austin retorted, shoving the man towards the edge of the front porch.

“Ya really gonna make me sit on the curb, huh…?” Dom asked. It wasn’t easy to let Austin push him around like this.

“Didn’t say that, just that you weren't gonna be in the house…”

“Front steps okay, then...?” he laughed a little.

“Whatever…”

“Sure I can’t talk you int’ bringin me a beer?” Dom asked, sitting down.

Austin rolled her eyes and retreated into the house, returning with a corona in hand, chucking it at him.

“’s been a while since my football days…” He laughed, fumbling with the bottle a little. “Thanks, kid…”

“I have a name…”

“Know why y’r mom named you that…?” Dom asked, laughing.

“’scuse me?”

“Any idea why your mom named you after a city in texas?” he asked again.

“It’s not the city…”Austin grunted. “Some stupid ass country song…”

“Your mom always did like that song…” Dom said, nodding quietly.

“Whatever…”

“You gonna sit out here an' keep me company?”

“Like I got anything better t' do?”

“Must be somethin’ on TV…” Dom shrugged a little, smiling to himself.

“Think I’m gonna have t’ torch that couch now…”

“If only you knew, kid…” Dom laughed.

“Yeah…’m definitely torching that couch.

“Your mom might have somethin’ t’ say about that…” Dom said. “She’s sentimental 'bout the weirdest shit…”

“I don’t EVEN wanna know…”

Dom laughed again, even louder as he finished off the corona, holding the empty bottle out to her.

“Think I c'd get a refill...?”

“What am I, your mama?”

“What, you’re gonna let me in the house t' get my own?” Dom asked.

Austin yanked the empty bottle from his hand, retreating into the house, returning with two more bottles, tossing him one.

“Your mom know you drink?” Dom asked, looking at her as she cracks open the beer.

“ONE beer ain' gonna hurt me. I can hold my liquor, thank you.”

“Oh, so she don't know, then...” he laughed and shook his head.

“She was my age when SHE started drinking, thank you…”

“Yeah…” Another laugh. “I remember…”

“Why are you here, anyway?”

“Haven’t you already asked me that a couple times…?” Dom asked, eyeing his daughter.

“I mean in LA.”

“It’s home…” Dom shrugged. “She’s here…”

“Yeah, an’ next you’re gonna be tellin’ me you’re my pops…”

Dom blanched a little, not wanting to answer that question.

“Would’ve gone wherever she was…” he murmured.

“An’ the last fifteen?”

“Mexico…” he muttered again. “With one brief trip and regrettable trip to San Diego…”

“YOU gave Brian that black eye?”

“What, you remember that?” he asked, looking her over carefully.

“No, I remember my mama freakin out about it…”

“Probably took his side…” Dom grumbled. “Without even knowin' what the fuck went down....”

“Not like you were here t' explain things.”

“No, I was sitting in a San Diego County jail cell, prolly…” Dom muttered.

“And?” Austin asked expectantly.

“An’ what…?”

Chapter Six: As Good As It Sounds
Letty POV

I left the garage a little earlier than usual, wanting to see Dom again. I was hoping he'll be at the house, since Mia said he left the store a while ago. I pulled up to the house, laughing a little when I saw him sprawled out on the front porch, Austin sitting next to him. I hoped she wasn't giving him *too* much shit…

“Looks like your ass is saved…” Austin teased, seeing me pull up. The gun she'd pulled on him earlier was tucked into the back of my jeans.

“The hell are you two doin’ out here…?” I teased, looking up at them from the bottom of the porch stairs.

“Why the hell does he know where the damn hide-a-key is?”

“Uh…” I shrugged, looking at her, wondering how long they’ve been talking, what exactly Dom’s told her. “Mia would never let me move it…just in case…”

“In case what?”

“In case he came back…” I shrugged again, looking at Dominic now. Austin looked back and forth between them, trying to figure out what the fuck was going on.

“Wan’ed t’ change all the locks…forget just movin’ the hide-a-key…” I said in Dom’s direction.

“Okay. You know what?” Austin stood up. “I don’t wanna know.”

“Yeah…” I shrugged. “You probably don’t…” Austin disappeared into the house, pulling another soda from the fridge before retreating into her bedroom upstairs.

“She kicked me outta the house…” Dom muttered, looking up at me, reaching for me.

“That’s what I figured…” I can’t help laughing.

“My daughter pulled a fuckin’ blade on me an’ kicked me outta my own house…” Dom, repeated, laughing a little to myself.

“An’ you just let her?!” I laugh harder this time.

“Ignored the blade…” Dom shrugged. “’s when she pulled the gun outta the cabinet, I figured maybe it'd be easier t' just play along with her... I'm pretty sure it was my own gun, too…”

“Remind you of an’body?” I laughed.

“Goddamn, Letty…” he grunted, sitting up. “She’s so much like you it's fuckin' creepy…”

“I missed you…” I can’t help laughing. “So much…”

“Missed you, too, ruca…” Dom sighed, reaching out for me again. “Almost went crazy, few times, without you…” I moved towards him when he reached out for me, our lips only inches apart.

“Need you…” he murmured, leaning in to close the distance between us, kissing me softly. “Know it's my own damn fault I had t' leave…but goddamn, I need you…”

I kissed him back, nipping his lip. His hands settled at my hips, pulling me closer to him. He groaned when I nipped at his lip. I leaned into him, teasing his lips with my tongue, deepening the kiss.

“Never stopped lovin' you, Letty…” he murmured against my mouth, stroking my tongue with his. I moaned against his mouth, arms wrapped around his neck.

Dom pulled me into his lap, sliding his tongue into my mouth and teasing the roof of my mouth. I move to his neck, nibbling at his throat, teasing his skin with my tongue.

“God I’ve missed this…” Dom groaned as my tongue teased his throat. I moan against his neck, driving myself as crazy as I was driving him.

“Love you…” His hands slide under my shirt, stroking my back.

“Love you, too…” he murmured. “You still in our room…?” I moaned, nipping at his lip.

“Yeah…?” he asked, not sure if it was an answer or not. “Y’wanna take this upstairs...?”

“The guys ‘re comin…” I groaned. “Damn barbecue…”

“What, we can't hide out upstairs an' let them barbecue...?” he asked, kissing me hungrily again.

“As good as that sounds…” I groaned against his lips. “Your daughter’s expectin’ me t’ be there…”

“Think she might actually kill me th’ next time I piss her off…” Dom sighed heavily, pulling back from me just slightly before laughing a little.

“Seemed like she was bein' civil…”

“We were makin’ friends…maybe…” he shrugged. “At least she didn't pull the gun on me again…”
