Title: Oh. My. God.
Description: I can't even...holy...

TigerLily - June 10, 2008 05:07 AM (GMT)
I am crying right now, I can't believe this just happened.

We were having an end-of-the-year crew party at a local theater (a lot of us have summer jobs there) that has been rumored to be haunted for years, but no one ever believed it.

I BELIEVE IT NOW.

The way the theater is set up: The parking lot is to the side of the theater, which is next to the forest preserve. Inside the theater, we have the foyer, then the house to the side. Next to the house is a doorway which leads to the Green Room, where everyone hangs out, and then the paint room is right next to it, which has a doorway that leads to the outside. It is always bolted from the inside.

There were about 16 of us altogether, and we were just about split evenly into 2 groups. My group was chilling in the parking lot, smoking a bubble pipe (which, by the way, was pretty freakin' sweet), when Suli in the other group comes up to us and looks surprised to see Konch there. She then said "Dude, how did you get from the house to here so quickly?" We were all fairly confused, as Konch had been with us the whole time. She then looked a bit confused. "Guys, I just saw him by the stage. I called his name and he waved at me." Now we were worried, because this meant that someone was wandering around inside the theater. That was bad. So we decided to investigate.

Bad idea.

After wandering the theater for about 10 minutes with no trace of another person, we all met up in the Green Room to talk, when out of nowhere we heard this awful scream coming from the stage. Like someone was being fucking MURDERED. Almost immediately after that scream stopped, it came back, only a lot worse. My friend Ashley started crying, and I just hoped that no one was just murdered, 'cause I sure as hell wasn't going to investigate. Luckilly, everyone felt the same way. When we didn't hear anyone running away from the scream, we thought maybe it was a prank from someone in the other group...until our Assistant Director Jen from the other group came tearing into the Green Room, demanding to know who the hell just screamed.

At that point, we were all freaking out, because it was looking less and less like it was one of us, meaning that someone was stalking the theater, and judging by the screaming, someone without good intentions.

It was at this point that we heard the bloodcurdling scream again. Suddenly, a large crash came from the lighting booth, like glass breaking, and the scream seemed to travel from there to the stage, down the hallway into the Green Room, where is whooshed around and between us. I felt it fly right by me. It fucking Moved. My. Hair. As. It. Went. By. Then the door to the paint room slammed open and the scream went through the door to the outside. It DESTROYED THE BOLTED DOOR. It was in SPLINTERS. IT FUCKING DESTROYED THE LIGHTING BOOTH. There was broken glass everywhere...

I have never been so scared in my whole life. We left immediately. I just got dropped off at my house, and I'm too afraid to even leave this chair. I can't believe this actually happened...

If reading this scared me.....I'da wet myself if I'da been there.

TigerLily - June 10, 2008 05:16 AM (GMT)
Dude, I'm still crying, I can barely move, and I've been home for a good 15 minutes.

karikocha - June 10, 2008 05:20 AM (GMT)
I can only imagine. Shit. What the hell you think it was??
I have goosbumps up and down my arms.

TigerLily - June 10, 2008 05:21 AM (GMT)
I dunno man...a ghost? Poltergeist? The scream was definitely a woman, though. The people who work there are always saying the place is haunted, but I never believed them before...fuck, I need to lie down. 'Night.

karikocha - June 10, 2008 05:22 AM (GMT)
Did anyone check it out?? The stage I mean.

Lost Angel - June 10, 2008 08:34 AM (GMT)
Whoa......Omg! :o Thats f*cking freaky! That reminds me of childhood memories, the screaming part :ph43r:

I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere in Lancashire and right next to us was the famous 'pendle hill'. Anyway, i think about 11 oclock at night because my brothers and i were still up, our mum just grabbed us, she asked if id been outside and i said no. The biggest fucking screaming was coming from outside, just into the hills where we played, it sounded like a woman being murdered or chased after. I remember my mum looking quite upset and she was holding us all, sitting on the landing while we looked out the window seeing my dad get his shotgun and our sheep dog to go and investigate. The screaming went on for about 15 mins. The police were rung, they investigated all over, even pendle hill (you can walk through our farm to get up there) and no body was found.

The explanation or what we thought was the ghost of 1 of the Pendle witches. Over a century ago, a group of women were named the Pendle witches, b/c they actually stole babies, murdered them and put their limbs in jars. (I cant remember why, need to look that up) Anyway they were finally executed by being chucked off pendle hill, and you know how it goes, if you survive being chucked (which was rare) your guilty and you still get Murdered. Some innocent women were actually thrown to their deaths aswell.

We also have a croft that was actually a graveyard, and ive seen my brothers dig, and actually find bones, so........maybe that explains it.....

Jeeebuuus Alex this better be a joke (what happened not what you are saying) because just reading that gives me the heebies jeebies, I can't begin to imagine how scared you guys must have been, at least there was 16 of you, my god if it was only 3 or 4 of you the insecure fear would have been even worse!

Goof-Goof - June 10, 2008 10:49 PM (GMT)
There wouldn't have been no kind of investigatin' if that were me. I woulda been
like 'Ya'll let me know what ya find when ya'll get back'. As soon as somebody
woulda said 'I heard and/or saw something' I woulda been got the hell out of dodge.

So according to Jen it was some ghost called the Black Lady.

All I know is I hope for hell the job application I sent in last week isn't accepted, I sure as hell am NOT working there this summer.

Shaun: There were about 9 of us. I don't know where the other group was.

Goof: I know! I shouldn't have gone in, but we needed to make sure that no one was in the theater that wasn't supposed to be there. Plus, I didn't want to be left alone in the parking lot.

Goof-Goof - June 11, 2008 02:09 AM (GMT)
The Black Lady.... hmm.

By any chance do you know what happen to her, ya konw....... how she died?

TigerLily - June 11, 2008 03:31 AM (GMT)
Not a clue. I've been thinking about it for a few hours, and my theory is that she was murdered at the theater. It's been around since the late 19th century, Al Capone used to frequent there, etc. A lot of shit has gone down in that place.

Apparently she's called the Black Lady because whenever someone sees her (and she HAS been seen), she appears as a black shadow.

Yeah, I had a LONG talk with Jen about it today. She says that there are at least 6 ghosts in and around the theater, and 4 of them are bad.

Goodie. <_<

Jeanie - June 11, 2008 01:13 PM (GMT)
TigerLily, when i read this, I was very surprised, because you always think it's not for real and that some people make up those stories and they only thought it happened to them. I've watched a lot of documentaries about ghosts and haunted places on Discovery Channel and other channels. Last I watched a documentary about Amityville, and there are a lot of people who don't believe that story. I also read the book about that story, when I was at primary school.

That Black Lady is a ghost who can't find rest, because she was murdered. She is between our world and the world where she should have been now. maybe paragnosts can investigate it there. Everywhere in the world you have that haunted places, also here in the Netherlands. Nearby the town where I live is a ruin of a castle, called Gebroken Slot (Broken Castle in English) and they say it's haunting there too; you can see there the appearance of a white lady.

When there are ghosts somewhere, people also feel the temperature dropping in the room. So a Spanish tourist in a castle in Holland here, in a place called Doorwerth felt it in a room there, when she visited that castle and more people noticed something and they even let come over an English team of ghost experts to investigate it there. So it's propably also haunted there.

Nice! Yeah I love ghost so Id probably been the one person NOT wanting to leave. Wow chick thats scary.

Our theater at my school is haunted to but I've only been there for a year so I haven't seen anything yet.

But yeah I have a VERY long history of ghost and things like that in my past. One of my first houses from when I was young was haunted. Ghosts have a thing for me. Hang around me for to long and you are garentied to see or feel something. lol

Anyone want stories? :P

TigerLily - June 12, 2008 03:08 AM (GMT)
Trust me, Daiva, you wouldn't have wanted to stay, not when a double-bolted door that was about 15 feet away from you had just been blown open for no apparent reason.

As for stories...I think I've had enough ghost stuff for a few days...

Goof-Goof - June 12, 2008 03:35 AM (GMT)
Shit, I wouldn't wanna work there anymore either. What if they call you and be like
"You can start work here tomorrow". What would you say to them?

TigerLily - June 12, 2008 04:35 AM (GMT)
Pray that either the chicken rib joint or the pet store I applied to get back to me first :P

Thing is, I crew for them during the school year, and I don't want to stop doing that...I just don't want to be anywhere within the vicinity for a while

Goof-Goof - June 12, 2008 04:45 AM (GMT)
I'll pray for you too then.

 Lord, please don't let that theatre call Alex back for a job b4 that pet store
or chicken rib joint does.
Amen
