Title: Any New Found Fan Love?
Description: I know it's all about Michelle here.
Yaya - June 2, 2008 05:55 AM (GMT)
Sorry, Leigh. I know this is the Michelle zone. Close the topic if you must.
Geez, it's been a while since I started a topic, and speaking of the topic, has anyone found any new fandom? Like did you JUST become a fan of someone?
Cause. like, with Michelle, I do this whole forum thing, photoshop her pictures occasionally and I stay on her movies like white on rice. And when I think about it, I'm ONLY a REAL fan of hers. Yes...it's true, I don't even like Justin Timberlake this much...no it's not that, she's just more interesting. ANYWAY- Like, has anyone found any new celeb?
I have, and I'd thought I'd share it, and probably you guys can share yours too if you'd had any.
Okay, so like a week ago I watched Michael Bay's "The Island" for the first time, and it was awesome. Like, for real, it was really good. And though it was nothing speacial that she did, I took an interest in Scarlett Johansson for the first time. My first thought was " Wow. She's like really pretty.", and she did a good job in the movie but the thing was is that I never really noticed her before, I did, but not really. Like when she was in JT's "What Goes Around" video which is like, a short film or something, and I didn't take an interest then. But I don't know, "The Island" just did it for me, instant fandom. And I already own one of her movies, "Match Point", which if anyone has seen, she's basically a main character. How could you not notice her in that Yaya? I don't know. But she just stood out in "The Island", it was good.
And tell me why that very same day I watched this movie called "Just Cause", which was really good too, and Sean Connery or whatever his name is was in it, and guess what, Scarlett Johansson was in that too! But she was like 9 or 10 or something. I don't know, it was weird.
But yeah, and that other guy Djimon Honsue, or something like. OMG, I swear I don't know his name or how to spell it, but he was in "The Island" too.
Any other instant fan faves?

Funny that you bring this up. I actually just realized I love Helena Bonham Carter.
She's sexy, funny and smart. A very talented actress. I seen her in "Fight Club"
and didn't know it was her until recently. She has a lot of credits to her name
but I've only seen about 3 of them.
I'm also obsessed with "The Simpsons"
Those are my other loves.

I get where you're coming from YaYa...
Like; I dunno how; or exactly when it happened...But, the moment that Britney Spears became sane again...I was totally hooked on the girl...
I mean; I never was much of a fan - AT ALL - Of her when she was Ms Teen Pop Princess of the world...And, I made as much fun of her while she was going thru her "What the f*ck's Wrong with her - Seriously!" period as the next person...
But, the moment she regained her sanity; did her "How I Met Your Mother" guest spots; I was following little ex-Mrs. Federline around like a lost puppy...
Go figure...

Well, it's not recent, but the instant I watched Firefly, I fell in love with every single character, every single one of them, and there are 9 main characters. Obviously River and Mal were my favourites, as are Summer Glau & Nathan Fillion who played them.
It's not common to start watching a series and manage to love everyone in it, there's usually someone you don't like as much, or someone you dislike, someone you don't give a sh*t about.
But even the guest actors on Firefly - Jonathan Woodward, Christina Hendricks, Mark Sheppard, Melinda Clarke - love 'em all!
I dunno - I guess besides Eliza, Michelle & Mariska - Firefly/Serenity is my biggest love to date .
It's the best television show I have ever seen, has every single emotion under the sun. Fits into every genre I can think of, barring gross-out comedies or spoofs. It has comedy, drama, romance, fantasy, sci-fi, western, thriller, mystery, action - everything!
You should'nt have got me started :P . Honest to God, if any of you have never seen it, you're really missing out big time. It's pretty cheap to buy the whole series, and it should NEVER have been cancelled in the first place :cuss: - the acting is incredible! Take a look.
Even better than that, off-screen, those people are just as amazing. I've met everyone (but Gina Torres) and they've all been so beautiful and warm and friendly and open. They have a bond like a family and they're incredibly funny when they're around each other. Love 'em!
Michelle - pretty obvious.
Eliza - what more do I need to say than Faith?! ;)
Mariska - who got me hooked on SVU the second I saw her in it, and seen her chemistry with Chris Meloni. And Mariska as a person - what a beautiful woman with a big heart.
Then I have other people I'm really into, like a real fan of - Pink, Jennifer Garner, Gillian Anderson, Majandra Delfino, Holly Marie Combs, Milla Jovovich, Ellen Muth -
Gillian and Jennifer are sorely overlooked. They're powerhouses for emoting, Jennifer for Sydney Bristow and Gillian for Scully. I can't think of anything the characters never had to deal with. Every emotion under the sun they acted, and always well, they never slacked off. And Milla - should have Oscars under her belt by now!
More recently Ellen Page, who was just completely amazing in Juno.
Sorry to rant...
Chelle xxx

Im in love with the show Doctor Who right now, aswell as David Tennant who plays The Doctor. Any one who loves sc-fi shows would definetley love it. Billie Piper rocked in it as his sidekick, she was the best and ya just new The Doctor and Rose secretly loved each other. David has the most gorgeous scottish accent....:)
I love FRIENDS, more specifically Mondlers hilarious double act aswell as Joey and Phoebe's, theirs nothing like great chemistry! ;)

Chelle, you make me giggle! You're probably the most faithful fan in the world,it's great.
Lately i'm really into Scarlett Johansson too and i know it's love 'cause i even bought her cd and despite what everyone says i think it's brilliant :P

Okay I believe just about damn near all of you know that I love Alicia Keys. That woman is just all around beautiful and very intellegent. I going to meat her in 15 days :P
I'm a huge Angelina Jolie fan too. People might not like her because of the whole Jenn and Brad saga but you can't deny that she is a damn good mother. She aint a bad actress either.
Being a die hard fan of the L word, I've really grown into Jennifer Beals to. She is great playing Bette in the series. If I didn't know better I would think she was actually gay. She's that damn good.

Oh! How can I forget about Ellen Page. allaboutangel, thanks for the reminder.
Juno is the teenage movies of all movies of the films that we could ever see with our eyes in our faces of all movies.
In shorter words: the best.
I haven't picked up Scarlett's CD, I don't think I will, I never even heard her sing.
But I'm weird, you know. I don't like actors who try to sing and singers who try to act. It just throws me off. I'm like "Stick to what you're good at!" I might give Scarlett a try though, I'll see how she sounds later. I'll be back with a review.
Also, I watched "Fear" with Mark Wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon for like the 5th time a couple of weeks ago. Mark Wahlberg, or David, is some kind of sexy, but a little creepy. Just a little too obsessed. I love Mark anyway, he's the perfect bad boy. Is anyone looking foward to "The Happening" ?
One my last and other favorite in post is Kristen Stewart. She was in "The Messengers" which I haven't seen. And "Speak", "Zathura", and "Catch That Kid". Those movies are alright. "Speak" was pretty sad though. But recently I just bought a movie called "Fierce People"...so friggin beasty. That movie was crazy, a drama, but crazy. Anton Wel- blah blah, don't know his last name but that kid who was in "Alpha Dog", the kid who got kidnapped, he was in "Fierce People" too. And Chris Evans, Diane Lane, Donald Sutherland, and more...just can't remember their names. It was a great cast though. Anyway, Kristen did a great job in that. Impressed was what Yaya was. And Chris Evans was unbelievable in that as well, completely unbelievable, though. Geez......he's so hot.
Okay, I'm done.
Wait- Rosario Dawson is awesome. Watch "KIDS"(1995) and "Descent"(2007). "Descent" was some CRAZY but great stuff. Directed to perfection too. And "KIDS" was just her debut, she did pretty good, but I still can't believe the words that came out of that little girl's mouth! Tsk tsk tsk. Anyway- watch them.

Same time Girlfight came out, I saw a movie called Raising Victor Vargas and fell in love with the main character and the actors are so talented too...
Judy Marte and Victor Rasuk are my 2nd and 3rd fav. actors...
For the past few years, they've done indie film that only appear in Sundance but the movies they make, win a lot of awards...
I'm like in LOVE with Judy Marte... Super hot, super talented!

Yea, it had a lame ending (which will not be revealed on this thread, so no worries!)
New found fan love...um...now that I know who Eliza Dushku is, she basically kicks ass.

I hated the ending, so wrong.
I didn't like Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Chris), such a coward.

Alice Braga.

I have yet to see a dreamier woman (sorry, Michelle).
