Title: Surviving the hive
Rate: PG 13 to R (Not really sure yet)
Summary: A resident evil fan fiction * A quickly time line note for the story surviving the hive, the main thing you need to know is Rain does not dead at the end of the first movie. The story picks up in the train as they are leaving the hive. The story will then cover the second movie which takes place after the umbrella corporation reopens the hive on Sunday September 29, 2002 and the events that happen the next five years lead up to the third movie and through the third Movie with Rain as part of it.


Chapter One: Life after going into the hive
Rain wakes up and opens her eyes when she hears the trap door on the train floor slam close. The first thing she sees is that Matt is drive the train and Alice is lean up against the wall and is catching her breath. Rain then looks down at the floor and she notices half of a large tongue with a pipe through it. Rain gets up from the floor and walks over to Alice and taps her on the shoulder. Alice looks up and sees that Rain now has some color back and her bites are already healed.

Rain: What happened and where is Kaplan at?
Alice: The Licker eat Kaplan I am so sorry Rain, but did the Ain’t-virus work?
Rain: I’m not dead, so yeah it must have work.
Alice: How you feeling?
Rain: I feel like I did when I come into work tried and grumpy.
Matt: Hate to break this up, but we get to get off the train and head into the house now. Also are we sure the Ain’t-virus worked and Rain not going to turn into a walk dead.
Alice: Rain Bites are healed and her color has return to her face and if it did not work she would have been dead already.
Rain: We have to go.

The three of them jump off the train and run into doors of the house that is the entrance to the hive. No soon then the three of them run into the house the glass door closes. Matt falls to the fall and Alice runs over to him. Rain then stop for a minute and Rain then jumps out the window that she entered the house through. She runs into the woods because she does not want too, answers any questions about what has happen in the hive to the umbrella workers. She stops running when she hears the workers say they want to put Matt into the Nemesis program and put Alice into quarantined. Rain then hears the works say let get a team together and find out what happened in the hive and let have it reopen within the next thirteen hours. Rain walks home trying to clear her head of what happened down in the hive and she is also hope that she does not get the call to go back down into the hive. When Rain gets to her house, she sees her parent’s car in the drive way. She walks up to the front door and unlocks it, she has just very getting through the door when her mom runs over to her. Mrs. Ocampo gives her daughter a big bear hug.

Mr. Ocampo: The head of all the S.T.A.R.S units (Umbrella Soldiers) called you and he wants you to call him back when you get a chance.
Rain: Yeah, sure I’ll call him back after I take a shower.
Mrs. Ocampo: Rain, are you ok?
Rain: Yeah I am just tired and dirty from all night dills. I am so sorry I was not here when the two of you get here this morning, I forgot that the two you were coming for a visit.
Mr. Ocampo: That fine baby, just go take a shower.
Rain: Ok
Mrs. Ocampo: That fine Rain should not have been out all night doing dills she had the stomach flu since Wednesday, she should have been at home resting!
Rain: I’m fine and I had no choice it was a mandatary drill mom.


Rain pulls away from her mom and heads up the stairs that are on the right hand-side as you come through the front door. She then walks into the door that is across from the staircases and closes the door behind her. Rain gets undress and into the shower that on the right as you come into the bathroom. Meanwhile across town in a downtown hospital, Umbrella Dr. Timothy Cain is infecting Alice with a large dose of the T-virus for the fifth time and is watching how her body reacting to it. Alice open her eyes and look over at Matt and see that he has turns into a large monster as result of the T-virus. As Rain is taking her shower and the doctors are watching Alice body fight the T-virus and change it each time that they infect her, the research team has now entered the hive through a secret entrance underground. Timothy gives Alice the ain’t-virus then leave the room, because he has just get a Mayday call from the research team that went down into the hive. But when he answers the call he can only hear screams for help, some scream saying they are eat me and that the hive workers have been infected with the T-virus. Dr. Timothy makes the call to get all the important people that work for umbrella to be evacuated and for all S.T.A.R.S member to be call and reported to bases for order. He also asks for all off duty cops to report to work. Rain is just getting out of the shower when her cellphone that is laying on the floor starts to ring. She drys off and wraps the towel around her body. She then answers her cellphone.

Rain: Rain Ocampo specking
Captain Dan (head of all the S.T.A.R.S units): Rain I need you to report to base and be ready to fight there has been a break out of the T-virus and there is a very high chance it could have the undead walking the streets by tonight. Also have you heard from any of the other members of your unit, because I can’t get a hold of them?
Rain: No, not since One called me last night saying that we had to go down and look into what happened in the hive, but I did not go with my unit last night.
Captain Dan: Why not?
Rain: I meet up with my unit at the base, but did not go with them because I had the Stomach Flu since Wednesday and I was not up to going. I am sorry about not answers my house phone when you call early, but I was asleep.
Captain Dan: That fine but you have to come in today.
Rain: Ok

Rain hangs up and then walks through the door that connects her bedroom to the bathroom. She puts on a clean pair of underwear and bra. She then puts a pair of green camouflage pants and pulls on a black tank top. She then picks up her gym bag and throws a box of tissues and her uniform into the bag. She zips the bag up and then walks back downstairs wishes that she could just go to bed. Her Mom and Dad walk over to her when she gets to the door.

Mrs. Ocampo: Where are you going Rain?
Rain: I have to go into work, But I want you and dad to get out of town way you still can, don’t ask me any questions yet. I call you later and let you know.
Mr. Ocampo: Ok Rain.

The three them head outside Mr. and Mrs. Ocampo gets into their car and then leave like Rain has asks them to. Rain gets into her car and heads to the base.

Chapter Two: Can this really be happening?
Rain pulls her black KIA sportage into the parking lot driveway of the S.T.A.R.S base and pulls up to the check in gate. She grabs her ID off the passenger seat and shows it to the person at the gate. The person at the gate opens it up and waves Rain on. She drives through to the parking lot and into her assigned parking space. Rain put her suv into parked and then she turns the suv off. Rain gets out of her suv and heads into the build. She heads right to one of the on call room and takes out her guns, two bottles of water and the box of tissues from her gym bag, along with a rag to clean the guns. She then lay down on the bed on her right side pushes herself up with her right arm. and start cleaning her gun. Meanwhile outsides the building Carlo’s Oliveiro sees Rain Ocampo suv in the parking lot and runs his hands through his hair. Carlos’ walks into the base and heads to the on call room where he and Rain also hang out in. He finds that his girlfriend is cleaning her gun. He walks over to Rain and kneels down next to her and feels her forehead with his left hand.

Carlos: I think your fever final break Rain, how are you feeling Rain?
Rain: I’ll have been better and I wish that I was at home in bed asleep!
Carlos: Lay down and get some sleep, I will finish cleaning your guns.
Rain: ( Carlos’ reaches into his pocket and take a ring box out of his pocket.) Thanks
Carlos: But first will you marry me Rain?

Rains looks at the ring in the ring box on her boyfriend hand and sees it white gold with one round diamond, just looks the one she had her eyes last Tuesday when the two past the Davis Jewelry store at the mall.

Carlos: So will you merry me?
Rain: Yes

Carlos’ puts the ring on Rain’s ring finger on her left hand and then they hug eachother. Rain then hands her guns and rag to Carlos and then lays down on the bed and closes her eyes. She falls asleep right away when she closes her eyes. Carlos get to work on cleaning off Rains guns after an hour he has the guns clean and moves on to reload them, because they were all empty. He has just put all Rain’s gun back into Rain’s gym bag when both of their cellphone starts beeping, which mean they are getting a text messages. Carlos take his cellphone of his hip and flips the cellphone open and looks at the text message, which says mandatory meeting in the meeting room in four minutes and they will also be breakfast at the meeting. Carlos’ puts his cellphone back onto his hip and then he stands up and walks up to the bed his girlfriend and soon to be wife is asleep on facing the wall. He takes a set on the edge of the bed and lightly shakes Rain shoulder to wake her up. Rain rolls over to face him, but does not wake up. Carlos shake Rain’s again this time whispering in her left ear.

Carlos: Rain, you need to wake up, because we have to go to a mandatory meeting in the meeting room.
Rain: Ok, just give me a minute!
Carlos: That fine.

Rain opens her eyes and looks at her boyfriend at the sometime slower set up in the bed. She then reaches down and grabs a bottle of water. She takes the cap of the water and takes a few sips. She then puts the cap back on the bottle of water. Carlos’ picks up the unopen bottle of water and the tissue box and he puts them into Rain’s gym bag for her. He then picks up Rain’s gym bag up at the sometime as Rain stands up from the bed. The two of them walk out of the on call room and down the hallway to the meet room and the two of them are the last two people to walk into the meet room. Rain and Carlos take a set in the back of the room next to Nicholai and Yuri.

Nicholai: The two of you are cutting it closes, the meet about to start up any second now.
Yuri: Rain, where is the rest of your group?
Rain: My team was the first unit that went down into the hive, but since I still have a touch of stomach flu, I did not go with them.
Nicholai: Being sick saved your life, I heard your whole team dead down there!
Yuri: I heard that a person named Alice made it out and Dr. Isaacs has her in quarantined!
Rain: I wouldn’t know about that, I was at home in bed asleep when that all went down!
Yuri: Carlos final ask you to marry him I see Rain?
Rain: Yeah an hour and half ago in the blue on call room.
Nicholai: That great!
Carlos: Hey the cooks are setting out breakfast foods for us, do you want anything to eat Rain?
Rain: Some toast with butter on it and some hot tea.
Carlos: Alright, I go get it and bring it over to you Rain.
Rain: Thanks

Carlos, Nicholai and Yuri stand up from the chairs they are setting in and walks towards the table at the front of the room, where the cooks are setting breakfast out at. Rain’s lean back in the chair she setting in and closes her eyes. Try her hardest to block out everything that has happened to her and her unit, Matt and Alice in the last twenty four hours. Once up at the table where breakfast is being serviced, Nicholai and Yuri grab a plate and silverware and napkin and they start getting the food they want to eat. Carlo grabs two plates one for him and one for Rain along with two napkins and sets of silverware, he then grabs a tray and sets both plates and the silverware on the tray. He puts two slices of toast and he puts butter on them and puts the butter sides of the toast together and then cuts the toast in half. He then moves on to putting two slices of toast on his plate along scrambled eggs, bacon and four pancakes. Carlos then pour some hot tea into a coffee mug for Rain and sets the mug on the tray in front of Rain plate. He then pours himself coffee into a second coffee mug and sets that mug on the tray in front of his plate. Carlos’ picks up the tray and carriers the tray with the food and drinks on it over to the table that Rain, Nicholai, Yuri and he are setting at. When Carlos’ reaches her and the table she takes the tray from him and he set down as Rain set the tray down in between them. Carlos’ takes Rain plate off the tray first and hand it to her, after she set the plate in front of herself, Carlos then hand Rain the coffee mug with her hot tea in it. Rain takes the coffee mug from Carlos and takes a sip of the tea. Once everyone getting their food and set back dawn to eat Captain Dan walks up to the front of the room where the microphone is set up.

Captain Dan: Thanks for coming everyone, I have some bad news to tell all of you. There has been an outbreak of the t-virus down in the hive and the first group that were sent down to the hive to check it out off the break out happened are dead and the second group are also dead.
Yuri: How did they die?
Captain Dan: The worker of the hive was infected with the t-virus and killed them. The bad news is when the second group went down into the hive and some of the infected works and S.T.A.R.S member that were infected get out before the glasses doors at the entrance of the hive closed. Which means that we are now on high alert and all the important people are been evacuated as I speck to you all, which means I need all of you out on the streets helping to control the out break.

Rain’s who stopped eat her toast and closes her eyes when captain Dan staying to talking takes a deep breath and raise her right hand in the air to get Captain Dan attention. Captain Dan stops talking and looks towards the back of the room and at Rain Ocampo.

Captain Dan: What your question Rain?
Rain: Which unit do you want me with, since my unit is all dead?
Captain Dan: I want you with Yuri, Nicholai and Carlos, since I have seen you do practice drill with that unit and I know that the four of you work can work well as a team.
Rain: Ok, Sir
Captain Dan: Go change into your uniform and get out on the streets and remember to keep your cellphone on and walker talking on station three.

Captain Dan walks away from the microphone and all the S.T.A.R.S members stand up from the chairs they are set at and head to the locker rooms to get changes. Carlos picks up Rain’s gym bag and puts it on his left shoulder and puts his right arm around Rain waist and the two of them walks out of the meet room together. As they are walking toward the locker room, Rain lies her head on Carlos’ right shoulder, wish the two of them where at her house asleep together and in her bed, not at work. When they reaches the ladies locker room, Carlos kiss Rain on her forehead and then heads Rain her gym bag.

Rain: Thanks for carrying my gym bag for me, I see you in a few minutes.
Carlos: Take your time Nicholai, Yuri and I don’t mind waiting for you, we know you still not feeling good.
Rain: Thanks, but I just want to get this over with and go home.
Carlos: Lets hope that we can stop this and get to go home, so we can plan our wedding.
Rain: Lets just skip town!
Carlos: Our employers won’t let us get away with skip town!
Rain: I know!

Rain lets go of Carlos and walks into the locker room and over to her locker which is the first locker in the three rows from the door. She unlocks her locker and set her gym bag on the bench. Rain unzips her gym bag and takes out her uniform, she changes really fast and then puts her gun belt on and puts all her guns on the belt. She then put then takes her extra magazines out of her gym bag and puts them into the holder on her pant legs. She puts her wallet and ID in her shirt pocket and buttons it up. She throws her camouflage pants into her gym bag and zips it up. Rain throws her gym bag into her locker and closes it up and relocks it. Rain leans up against her locker door and closes her eyes once again, this time wishes that she would have not eat that toast or drink that tea. She opens her eyes up and starts walks to the locker room door. When she pushes the door open, she sees Carlos, Yuri and Nicholai lean up against the wall waiting for her.

Yuri: Take you long enough Rain, what where you doing in there?
Nicholai: She probably was putting on her make up or taking a nap again!
Carlos: Shut up you two, you know she has been sick and you two are the one that give her the flu, by coming to drills sick.
Rain: Lets go get this over with.
Carlos: I agree.

Carlos, Rain, Nicholai and Yuri walk down the hallway to the doors of the building and head to streets to start doing they job.
