I hope the moderators don't mind me starting another thread for this, I didn't want to glom this together with my Tigress chapter thread. I met an artist through a site called digitalwebbing.com and had him illustrate this for me. What I'm posting here is a few sample pages of what my comic might look like once it get's published. The artists name is Gerardo Gonzalez and he lives in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina (we communicate through e-mail).

Thanks you guys, I'm glad you like it. I'm going to be working with this guy on the rest of the issue and I'll be posting a mock-up of the cover soon. Next step is sending those sample pages out to publishers to see if anyone bites and wants to make it into a series. If that don't work, or it takes too long, Gerardo and I will make more pages, perhaps the whole first issue and I'll print it out and make what are called "ashcans", cheaply made faux comics that I can show people to give them a feel for the real thing.

Hmm...maybe I can get Gerardo onto this forum and he can tell you a little more about himself and his art. We'll see....

He has a bunch of artwork and snippets from his only published work the "Hierograph" in which he created a short story based on a song by the Rolling Stones.

Okay, these two take place after the fight with the ninjas and are the last two pages of the issue. Next I should have the first three pages of the book, containing the scene with El Tigre and his partner Guardian.

I had my artist correct a typo on the first of the new pages, as well as changing the image on the tv in page two to El Tigre, and added the "to be continued" since this is the last page of the first issue.

I also upped the size of the pages, do you guys want me to keep them this way or shrink them? :brow:

Here is a couple more sketches in anticipation of the next three pages (I know you're on the edge of your seats out there). One is all of El Tigre, a couple differnt costume interpretations. The second is an action shot of Tigress. The final one is sketches of three of the four villains from the opening scene with El Tigre, and we also have his partner Guardian on the right.

Oh, and I fixed the links that got messed up when I resized some of the pages a while back, so enjoy. I have Gerardo working on what are actually the first three pages of the actual issue (the ones completed so far are towards the end of the book), and I will post them soon.

And I asked Angel of Nightmare a while back to go smack him if he takes too long, so if you're impatient for new pages, ask her. :lol:

Finally got some pages everybody! Here for the first time we see Mayte as herself and not Tigress, marking her first chronological appearance! This takes place right after the fight between El Tigre and Guardian and those four villains on the rooftop. Enjoy! :)

GREAT FIC! :D Loved that you got to see her as a normal person aswell as a superhero, and her wanting to know her dads a really good storyline, it draws you in. :)

Oh yeah, please someone tell me that the left hand sized sketch is the spitting image of Matthew Perry's face?!? Im not just saying that because im obsessed with FRIENDS, the left 1 is the exact image of Matt Perry's face! Someone please agree with me!? :blink:
