Czech Television Channel Number 1 will broadcast Resident Evil at 23:45 11th May... I'm going to watch it (of course I have already seen this film, but only English version+subtitles, so I want to see it in my mother language)... I wonder who will narrate Michelle in Czech dubbing... I hope that dubbing won't be disaster like Czech dubbing of Ana-Lucia on channel AXN...

Cool. Might watch it to see which bits they cut out. (Yes, I'm sad) But I was highly annoyed when watching SWAT the other week on one channel and they cut some of the best bits. Hmmmm. Thanks for the heads up.

Michelle's first(and in my humble opinion, best...)movie, "Girlfight" airs tomorrow evening at 6pm, EST. on SiTV, the hispanic cable channel. Check your digital cable and/or satellite provider for the exact channel for Si in your neck of the woods...

Wrong direction, watch the first hour or so and then fast forward through the finale. I did miss the first twenty minutes when they premiered it so I'll have to check it out. Ugh. DAMN YOU UWE BOLL! YOU AND JOEL SCHUMACHER HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL!

Yes, she was very beautiful in it and I loved the purple corsetty thing....but....I can't....I can't even hear the name of the film without picturing the football player from Blue Crush in a 18th century mullet getting humped and licking Loken-nipple. The clanging of that jail cell still haunts me at night.

The dialogue....the hilariously spurting blood....the accents (or lackthereof)....the awkward sex scene....the plot....my head is imploding as we speak. Damn you for bringing back the nipple flashes. Damn you to hell.

I really wish they'd show Girlfight on network tv. I think airing it on NBC or FOX some Friday or Saturday night would be cool. They showed Million Dollar Baby on CBS the other night and that movie came out much later than GF. I cleared my expectations and pre-judgements and watched most of it. I gotta say I thought it was just "ok" at best. I think it only did so well b/c when you have some young new already-an-Oscar-winner (Hilary Swank) make a noticeable physical change, throw in the great Morgan Freeman, and attach the name of THE Clint Eastwood as costar, director, and producer....then people just automatically fall to their knees in praise, whether it's completely deserved or not. I thought the dialogue/depth of Clint's character's thoughts on boxing was very well written in some parts, and Clint played his role really well....but the rest was just....ok. I found it quite boring in many parts, quite hokey and forced in others, and it seemed to drag on and on. I guess when you have such a powerhouse cast and a main character death, you are just automatically handed an Oscar, lol. Guess that's why Helen Hunt and Jack Nicholson and that silly "As Good as it Gets" dominated the Oscars in 1997 while Leo DiCaprio and Claire Danes were overlooked for the sheer brilliance that was Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet". A smaller budgeted film with a lesser known director and young cast gets ignored in place of handing out more awards to annoying "veteran" filmmaking mediocrity.

But anyway *steps down off soap box*....:D

....TFATF has been on network TV, I'd love to see RE, BC, and GF. They're entertaining films, they should be shown. I mean cripes you know how many times ABC has aired Castaway on Saturday night!? I could probably act the whole thing out myself from having seen it so many times.

I feel your pain. But, it does appear, from time to time(actually, ALOT!), on SiTv...And, yeah, "Girlfight" hasn't gotten the recognition that a "Million Dollar Baby" did, because it's an independent movie; and 'cause latinos and latinas were the leads and makers...But, with all due respect: Eastwood...Freeman... :bow: They deserve the accolades!

Sadly, "Girlfight" ain't appearing "this" week on Si... :(

hardly any of Michelles are on terrestrial channels over here. Resident Evil maybe once a year. none of the rest of them. maybe on sky, but not on terrestrial.

Resident Evil is on sci-fi channel every so often around here, blue crush was on spike tv at least once, fast and the furious is on all the time on every channel it seems, and s.w.a.t. has been shown a couple times on fx.

My choice?

When spike tv does their marathons or ads for new fighting shows and wrestling or whatever, they usually show some kickass movie for three days straight. Girlfight anyone?

Recently, we have been quite lucky. TFATF was on ITV (or possibly ITV2) the other week, we had SWAT a few weeks back and then RE about a month or two ago. As for the others though, never seen them anywhere on TV.

I havent seen any of her movies on resently. the last I can remember was when BC came on after an episode of LOST that she was in. lol It was weird because I was just watching her on LOST then again on BC. lol

when i say terrestrial channels, i mean the bog standard, BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4. not any of the extra channels you can only get on digital/sky

I think, most people know her solely from "Resident Evil", or "Blue Crush"...And, you really don't see the talent, in those flicks...Don't get me wrong...Both, are kick-ass movies...It's just that, well, they're movies..."Girlfight" is a film. You get the whole package that is Michelle...Tough, yet sensitive...Strong, but compassionate...It's a perfect vehicle for her. :wub:

And, speaking of "Blue Crush"...It airs this afternoon, and tonight, on the USA cable network!

I really know what you mean by that, girlfight made me laugh, cry etc. It had a certain UMPH to it, if you know what I mean. It really brought out a lot of sides in her character.
