It's multi-chapter, hope you like it!

------Chapter 1------

Was that a bullet hole? Kate fingered the small hole in the wall. She had entered the hatch moments earlier to find it a mess, furniture had been overturned, papers were scattered everywhere and there were several what looked like bullet holes in the walls. Out of the corner of her eye Kate noticed black, glossy hair sticking out from behind the counter, shoving aside a broken chair she ran to the figure

“Ana Lucia!”

Kate cleared the hair from her forehead revealing a blood-smeared wound

“Ana Lucia, can you hear me?”

She got no reply. Kate looked around for something to clean her forehead with but instead her eyes were drawn to Libby who was lying on the ground covered in blood on the other side of the room.

“Libby?”

She gently rested Ana’s head down and rushed to Libby

“Libby?”

The blonde woman’s eyes opened slightly

“Libby its me Kate, you’re gonna be okay”

Kate removed Libby’s hands from her stomach, uncovering a bullet wound on the middle of her stomach. She grabbed a towel from the knocked-over wash basket and pressed it to her stomach, the pale figure moaned in pain. Just then Jack, Sawyer and Hurley came into the Hatch.

“I’m telling ya doc, Xena has my gun! I don’t have it!” Sawyers southern accent argued

“Just give him the gun man” came Hurley’s voice

“Sawyer I’m…”

The voices came to a stop as they entered the main room.

“Jack help me!” Kate yelled at him. The three men rushed to Libby and Kate

“What happened? Is she gonna be okay?” Hurley asked, upset

“I don’t know, I don’t know” Kate shook her head “ I just came in her and saw the mess and Ana Lucia, then Libby”

Sawyer’s head snapped up “Where’s Ana?”

Kate pointed to the figure on the other side of the room “she’s unconscious Sawyer”
Sawyer ran to her as fast as he could

“Ana? C’mon girl wakeup” he stroked her cheeks

“Sawyer” her lips barley moved

“Ana! Hey you’re gonna be alright, okay?

“Is she okay” Jack asked

“She will be” Sawyer replied he fetched his water bottle “drink this” he held it to her lips, Ana sipped a bit then chocked “easy there darlin’’”

Jack set Libby up in the Hatch’s bedroom and came to check on Ana who was now almost fully awake and in pain. He gave her some painkillers and then proceeded to clean and dress her wound

“Are you hurt anywhere else?”

“no” she replied soflty

“c’mon, I’ll take you to the couch” Jack went to help her up but she pushed him away

“I’m fine” Ana grabbed at the counter and tried to pull herself up but slipped and fell into Sawyer.

“Sure looks like it chica” He grinned and picked her up. She was to weak to argue. He put the shaking figure on the couch and sat down beside her, Jack also joined them.

“What happened Ana?” he asked her. Ana thought for a moment, remembering….

“Libby! Where’s Libby?......she was shot, is she okay?”

“She’s fine, she’s in the bedroom resting, she’ll be okay but it would really help if we knew what happened.”

FLASHBACK
“He deserves to pay for what he did to you” Michael held out his hand waiting for Ana to place the gun in it. She looked up at him and nodded slowly and placed the gun in his hand, he walked to the door. Ana Lucia starred at the ground, trying to rationalise in her head that she had made the right choice. She heard a familiar ‘click.’ Ana frowned, she hadn’t heard him open the door, she looked up and saw that Michael was pointing the gun at her
“Michael? What are you….”

“I’m sorry Ana Lucia” he said sincerely and pulled the trigger. Ana ducked and ran behind the couch

“Michael! What’re you doin’ man?”

“I’m trying to save my son!” he fired again several times each shot hitting the walls

“Michael stop!” she screamed at him he walked towards her, pushing over a small table in his way, the pile of books on it fell to the ground. Ana took off her shoe and threw it at him, hitting him in the eye, he cried out in pain

“you shouldn’t have done that!” he growled. While he was distracted Ana ran for the door. Realising she was escaping Michael lunged at her, tackling her to the ground.

“Michael! Ana Lucia!”

They froze and looked up to see Libby standing in the doorway looking confused
“Libby….” Ana began to yell but she was silenced by a gunshot, Libby fell to the ground
“Libby!” Ana kicked the gun out of Michaels hand and tackled him, pinning him to the ground “you bastard!” she hissed

“I have to get my son back!” Michael lifted his knee and shoved it forcefully into Ana’s stomach she rolled onto the ground and into the corner of the counter, not far from where the gun had fallen. Ana moaned and looked up, spotting the gun, pushing aside her pain she lunged for the gun but Michael go there first. He picked it up and aimed it at her, pulling the trigger. There was an empty ‘click.’ Ana grinned, he was out of bullets, she was getting up off the ground when Michael hit her on the forehead with the handle of the gun, she slumped to the ground unconscious.

End Flashback

“And I don’t know what happened after that” Ana finished

“Jack” Kate came into the room looking worried “Libby’s in a lot of pain” Jack nodded and got up to help, out of the corner of his eye he noticed the door to the room where they’d kept Henry Gale was open. Cursing under his breath he went to see it, it was empty. Jack sighed

“at least we know why he did it” He followed Kate to Libby’s room.

“Looks like ol’ Michael gave you a rougher ride then me” Sawyer grinned. Ana smiled slightly. “and all for my gun, the one you stole from me, remember that?” he smirked and nudged her gently. Ana shrugged ‘So? You were in it for the sex, I was in it for the gun, either way it wasn’t exactly for the right reasons so what does it matter?.’ ‘I was only in it for the sex? oh so I’m an open book am I?’ Sawyer laughed. ‘you always were’ she replied. Sawyer nodded, deciding it wasn’t worth fighting with her he remained silent. Ana felt guilty, although he was trying to hide it she could tell he was hurt. “I’m sorry” she said softly

“why be sorry chica? It was fun” she looked up at him “yea it was fun” they sat starring at each other for several moments.

Sawyer lifted Ana’s chin and kissed her softly, Ana slid her hand around his neck, pulling him closer, then realising what was actually happening she pulled back, giving him a questioning look, he grinned at her, “it’s not about the sex Ana,” she laughed “what, you’ve suddenly turned into a gentleman?” he smirked and shook his head “you tell me, I’m an open book aren’t I?” Ana sat staring at him. for once she couldn’t think of anything to say. Sawyer smiled and lent down and kissed her again Ana tried to pull away but Sawyer put his hand around her head and held it there, slowly Ana’s protests weakened as she began to enjoy the kiss, Sawyer removed his hand from her head and wrapped it wound her waist and Ana’s lips stayed pressed onto his. “how’s your head? He asked eventually when they broke apart “still a little sore, but a lot better” she smiled Sawyer laughed, wrapping his arms around her, “so it wasn’t all about the gun then?” he grinned at her “of course it wasn’t, how could I resist you’re masculine charm?” she laughed sarcastically “yea well, I got plenty of that” he nodded Ana laughed “shut up” She rested her head on his chest grinning to herself, she loved how sawyer smelt, he had a unique and undescribable scent that Ana couldn’t define, all she knew was that she loved it. They sat in each others arms in silence Sawyer, stoking her hair affectionately.

Later, Jack and Kate returned. “How’s Libby?” Ana asked anxiously

“She’s doing a lot better” Kate told her

“I’ve been thinking,” Jack said “I wanna go after Michael”

“And do what exactly?” Sawyer asked

“I dunno……he is one of us and we have to do something” Jack said quietly

“Lets do it”

Jack, Kate and Sawyer turned and starred at Ana Lucia

“What? Kate asked

“You wana get Michael and Walt? I wana get even. So we gotta find him” She said firmly Jack sighed, he knew he couldn’t talk her out of it. “I think we should take Sayid as well” he said

Ana nodded “When do we leave?”

Someone was shaking her shoulder gently, trying to wake her up. Pretending not to acknowledge this her eyes remained shut. “Ana?” she rolled over and groaned this person could not take a hint! “What?” she mumbled absently, “I wanted to talk to you before the others wake up” Ana Lucia opened her eyes to see Sayid kneeling beside her. Ana nodded and got out of the blanket she was sharing with Sawyer.

It was three weeks since the incident in the Hatch, Jack had insisted that they delay their journey until Libby’s condition was stable and Ana was rested, They were planning to leave after two weeks but there was an accident and Libby’s stitches split causing her to loose more blood so they delayed the trip another week. Yesterday Sawyer, Jack, Kate, Sayid and Ana Lucia left their camp in search of Michael, they had walked all day, only stopping just before the sun went down to set up camp.

Ana followed Sayid to a small clearing just far enough away from the others so they couldn’t be heard. While they were walking Ana felt dizzy and nauseas, she stopped and leaned against a tree to support her, seconds later she was vomiting. Sayid looked back, saw the pale figure and ran to her “Ana, what’s wrong? Should I get Jack?” regaining her composure she shook her head, “I’m alright, it’s just a virus” She took a sip from her water flask and carried on walking, Sayid followed.

“What’s up?” she asked when they reached the clearing,

“I want to know what you intend to do with Michael when we find him.” He looked her in the eyes, almost challenging her to answer. Ana frowned thoughtfully

“I want to talk to him” she replied eventually, she hadn’t really thought about it seriously before now so she decided to play it by ear.

“……you want to talk to him?” Sayid replied in subtle disbelief. Ana nodded

“I want to talk to him.”

“Can I ask why? After everything he did……” his voice trailed off. Ana looked out into the jungle

“Sayid do you remember when I told you that I was shot while I was pregnant, I lost my child and they never found the man who did it?” Sayid nodded “I lied” she looked at him “I found the guy, it was a college kid actually, and….. I shot him. I killed the man who took my child from me and I would do it again.” Her voice grew stronger as she spoke, Sayid opened his mouth to say something but Ana continued talking,

“At the time I thought it was the right thing to do, I wanted revenge on the person that got in the way of my happiness, but I was wrong, just like Michael is now” she finished. Sayid said nothing but nodded understandingly,

“And if that does not work?” he asked eventually,

“We should wake up the others” she replied, ignoring his question. She got up and walked back to Jack, Sawyer and Kate, Sayid followed close behind.

When they reached the camp the others were already awake

“Where’d you two disappear to?” Jack asked in a relieved voice when he saw them emerge from the bushes.

“We went to get some fresh water for our walk today” Sayid held up some flasks, Ana looked at the flasks in surprise then hid her look, hoping no one had noticed.

“We leave in ten minutes”


They walked all morning until Jack decided it was time to stop.

“Lets take a break” no one protested as they sat down and drunk from their flasks. Ana glared at Sawyer, he he’d spent almost all morning walking with Kate, hardly even acknowledging her. She knew that she and Sawyer weren’t that serious but she couldn’t help feeling a little annoyed and put out.

“Hey” Ana’s thoughts were interrupted as Jack sat down beside her

“Hey” she smiled at him

“I just came to check your head” he said as he retrieved some first aid supplies from his pack.

“It feels a lot better” she told him honestly as Jack gently tilted her head sideways to get a better view of the wound

“It’s healing well” he commented as he cleaned and dressed it

“Good”

“Ana, Sayid told me you were unwell this morning, is everything alright?” Ana looked around for Sayid who was conveniently no where to be found.

“It’s just a virus, I’m fine” she smiled at Jack

“Let me know if it gets any worse alright?” Ana nodded and Jack left.

Almost immediately after Jack left, Sawyer came and sat beside her

“So what was all that 'bout?”

“He was just checking my forehead, I’m fine”

“Yea darlin’ I noticed that” he grinned mischievously “That’s the problem” Ana frowned

“What do you mean?”

“Nuthin’ much, just looked like you and Jack were getting pretty close’s all” Ana’s lips parted in shock

“Are you serious? You spend all morning with Kate and I spend not even five minutes with Jack and….. You know what you’re impossible!”

“Alright, I was just wondering, I guess I spent the morning with Kate ‘coz I was a little annoyed when I woke up alone because you were out with Sayid!”

Kate, Jack and Sayid watched Ana and Sawyer fight; their voices grew louder with each sentence until they were yelling at each other. Ten minutes later their fight concluded

“Fine then, whatever we had is over, I’m going back to camp” Ana said coldly “You’ll bring him back?” she looked at Sayid who nodded understanding.

“Ana you can’t go back alone” Jack protested. Sawyer ran his fingers through his hair

“Look chica, there’s no need to be makin' rash decisions okay, hows-about we just carry on walkin’? Ana ignored him and turned to the others “I’ll see you back at the Hatch” before they could stop her she disappeared into the jungle.

Ana made her way through the jungle, still fuming from her argument with Sawyer; she couldn’t believe he had the nerve to accuse her of……. She sighed who cared? She would just go back to camp and wait for them to come back with Michael. Suddenly Ana felt nauseas and sick, her head began spinning. Realising she was in trouble she headed back to where she had come from.

Since Ana left no one had said anything, they were just packing up to leave when Ana stumbled through the thick bush

“Ana!” seeing she was unwell Sawyer rushed to her. Ana couldn’t keep her balance anymore, she was so weak and her head was spinning violently, she tumbled into Sawyer who picked her up

“Ana what’s wrong?” She couldn’t answer; she just closed her eyes letting the sickness wash over her. She didn’t know what was happening or why she was feeling like this, all she knew was that she wanted it to stop. Jack rushed to them

“Lay her down” Sawyer did as he was told and lay her down, resting her head on his knee “Ana?” he stroked her hair, Ana’s eyes flicked then closed as she passed out.

“Ana?” Sawyer shook her gently “C’mon chica wake up”

“Sawyer listen” Kate said quietly, Sawyer looked up to see the rest of the group standing up turning their heads around to random places in the jungle, their eyes wide with fear and uncertainty, he listened and he could hear whispers, they were everywhere and they were getting louder and louder. He frowned “We have to get out of here now.”

“We have to go now” Sawyer repeated urgently as the whispers grew louder and faster, Ana was lying on the ground lapsing in and out of consciousness, It was happening again “Cindy” she mumbled
“Ana?” Sawyer noticed she was conscious. Her head was spinning violently and then everything went black.
“C’mon” Jack shouted, Sawyer took Ana in his arms and followed Jack, Kate and Sayid into the jungle.

They ran as fast as they could through the jungle, branches tore at their skin and they were physically exhausted but kept running for fear of what was behind them.
The whispers were everywhere, no matter how fast they ran the voices still surrounded them.

In her haste Kate tripped and went tumbling into a tree, hitting her head hard on the trunk. Before she had time to register what had happened Sayid pulled her up and they kept running. All of a sudden Jack changed direction, he turned right and kept running without explain where he was going.

“Jack?” Kate questioned him

“We’re going to the beach” he said between breaths

Not having enough breath or energy to arguer they followed in silence, they reached the beach, leaving the whispers in the jungle, Jack lead them to the rocks by the water which provided them with some shelter, they stopped running and sat down. The route to the Hatch along the beach was more direct then the one through the jungle however it was also more dangerous.

Sawyer lay Ana down gently and called for Jack. The doctor came over and looked at the lifeless figure; he picked up her wrist and checked for a pulse, it was beating rapidly, just like his own. He shook her gently,

“Ana? Ana c’mon wake up” her eyelids fluttered briefly and she moaned

“Wha….What……What happened?” she opened her eyes and was surprised to see Jack and Sawyer leaning over her

“Are you alright? Chica?” Sawyer asked

Ana frowned, was she? What happened? She didn’t feel hurt, maybe a little tired but other then that she felt okay.

“Yeah” she replied softly, Sawyer bent down and kissed her forehead

“I’m sorry”

For what? Ana was confused, what did he do? She couldn’t remember anything and it was beginning to scare her. She looked around for anything to help her remember but all she saw were rocks and Sayid tending to a wound on Kate’s forehead. Slowly it was coming back to her, they’d had a fight and she got really angry, then she was sick….then nothing. She looked up at Sawyer and smiled “me too”

“Ana what happened?”

“I was going back to the Hatch” she remembered slowly “and I felt sick, kind of dizzy, so I tried to find you, but I don’t remember much else.” She said quietly.

“Have you had any other problems? Headaches? A sore throat?”

“No, I’ve been fine”

“What about a fever?”

“No”

“Ana…… are you pregnant?”

Her lips parted in shock. She hadn’t thought of that, she was pregnant? To Sawyer?

“What?!” Sawyer and Ana exclaimed loudly

Jack said nothing but looked at Ana, who looked back at him confused

“Ana?” she looked at Sawyer who was starring back at her blankly, waiting for an answer

“I….I…..sh-t! I’m Pregnant?........ I’m Pregnant”

“Holy sh-t” Sawyer mumbled in surprise

“Ummmm congratulations?” Jack offered “I’m gona go see Kate” he said quickly, leaving them alone.

Ana and Sawyer sat starring at each other, neither of them knew what to say, A baby was a serious step and it involved a lot of commitment, it was one they weren’t prepared for.

“I’m gonna be a dad” Sawyer said quietly

“Looks like it” Ana replied “are you angry?” she asked uncertain and scared of his reaction. He looked at her and smiled

“No, are you?”

“I’m just surprised.” She said “It’s a good thing right? I dunno I just feel….. sh-t, Sawyer I’m gona be a mum!” she grinned

“C’mere chica” he pulled her into a hug. A tear rolled down Ana’s cheek

“You cryin’ Muchacha?” she quickly wiped it away

“No, course not” she laughed Sawyer kissed the top of her head, they were going to be parents “Guess that means you’re stuck with me huh?” Sawyer grinned

“Ohhhh Lordy” Ana sighed playfully

“Hey!” he frowned Ana laughed and kissed him soflly, Sawyer tilted her chin upwards and deepened the kiss.

“Well?” They were interrupted by Jack, Kate and Sayid, who were standing there with anxious looks on their faces.

“We’re having a baby” Sawyer told them, Ana smiled at the look of pride on his face. There were lots of hugs and congratulations.

“Well we better get going if we’re going to make it back before dark” Sayid said eventually “Are you alright to go?”

“I’m pregnant! I’m not injured” Ana protested

“She’ll be fine” Jack told Sayid “But you do have to take it easy from now on” He told her firmly, she rolled her eyes and said nothing.

“Good. Because we’ve got a long walk a head of us.” They looked up and were suprised to see Michael standing amongst the rocks aiming a gun in their direction.

Michael! We’ve been looking everywhere
for you!” Jack said “Come back with us, we can help you get Walt, we…”

“Save it Jack.” Michael said firmly “I’ve made my decision.”

Kate reached for the gun in Sawyer’s belt in front of her but it was too far
and Michael saw her move. “No! Put you’re hand’s in the air! All of you
now!” he shifted the gun from person to person, each did as they were told.
Michael stepped amongst them to retrieve the gun. Deciding to take advantage
of the opportunity Sawyer elbowed Michael in the head, and he fell to the
ground, Sawyer lunged at him and they began rolling around on the ground
throwing punches.

Before they had a chance to do anything four Others appeared. Sayid was
quick to react, he took out his gun and shot one of them, the man slumped to
the ground dead. Another man punched Sayid causing him to loosen his grip on
the gun, which was then kicked out of his hand.

Ana rushed to attack the man but Jack held her back, “Ana don’t, you stay
here” he ordered. Reluctantly she did as she was told. As Jack, Sawyer, Kate
and Sayid engaged in the fight.

Kate was not as strong or as fast as her opponent and he quickly had her
pinned to the ground. He held one hand at her neck and with the other he
removed a small knife from his pocket, clutching it in his hand he raised
his arm to strike the helpless woman. He was about to bring the knife down
into Kate when a large rock hit him in the head and he fell to the ground
unconscious. Kate looked up to see Ana Lucia

“You okay?”

“Yeah, thanks”

Kate picked up the knife and shoved it into a man who was fighting with
Sawyer, he cried out in pain, Sawyer lunged his fist at the mans’ fragile
jaw. Suddenly someone grabbed Kate from behind.

“Ana? What are you…” she began, but it wasn’t Ana. She felt a blade pressed
to her neck

“Michael!” Ana screamed “Let her go!”

The other’s stopped fighting at Ana’s scream. “Let her go!” Jack shouted at
Michael.

“Let’s have a little co-operation first” Michael ordered “Put your weapons
on the ground and your hands where I can see them.”

“Jack” Kate pleaded

Reluctantly they did as they were told, tossing their guns and knifes to the
ground, they raised their hands in the air. Michael was now their enemy. The
Other men picked up the weapons and took them away.

“Now, here’s what’s going to happen.” Michael shouted “Sayid, you will go
back and bring Hurley to me, there is a dock, just along the beach, it’s
about two hours walk. Bring Hurley to me in two days at midday. Bring no
weapons or other people and we will do a trade, Ana for Hurley.”

“And why would I do that?” Sayid glared at the dark man

“If you are not there in two days I will kill Ana” He said simply Ana
frowned furiously, if looks could kill, Michael would be dead and buried.

“Go.” Sawyer told Sayid, the men looked at each other, and Sayid nodded
“Okay I will do it”.
He took one last look at everyone then disappeared.

“Now let’s go, we’ve got a meeting to make.” Michael commanded. He released
his grip on Kate’s arm then went to talk to one of the Others while the
remaining two guarded them intently. Kate ran to Jack’s open arms “Are you okay?” he
asked. She nodded.

Ana walked over to Sawyer “Are you alright?” she fingered the cut on his
head. He pulled away,

“Jack told you to stay out of it” He frowned “Kate could handle it, what if
you missed that guy and he’d turned on you? You’re pregnant Ana!
You have to be careful!”

“I'm pregnant, not stupid. Kate couldn’t handle it! What If I hadn’t and she was dead right now?” Ana yelled

“Let’s go” Michael interrupted. Ana and Sawyer glared at each other then
followed Kate and Jack into the jungle. Michael and one other lead the
group, then cam Jack, Kate, Ana and Sawyer followed by the remaining Others,
each of them were armed with guns.


Sayid ran down the beach reflecting heavily on what just happened. He had to
come up with a way to get them away from Michael, he was not thinking
straight and dangerous. In the distance he could see something white in the
water, Sayid’s eyes widened and he ran for the figure. It was a small while
boat.

Sayid swam out to the boat, he was a good swimmer and reached it in a few
minutes. He climbed onto the deck “Hello? Is anyone here?” Hearing the voice
a man emerged from the cabin
“Hello Brother”

The men stood staring at each other

“Are you one of them? Sayid accused

“What do you mean by ‘one of them’?”

“The Others?”

“Ah you must be one of Jack’s group then?”

Sayid nodded

“I am Desmond. I was in the Hatch before, your lot came and relieved me from
my duties.”

“Good, then I need your help, They have taken four of us and we have to help
them.”

“And why would I help you brother? Why would I risk my life for your
friends?”

Sayid sighed “What do you want?”

“Nothing, I am just fooling, what is your plan?” the man grinned

failing to see what was so funny Sayid ignored the joke. “There’s a dock two
hours walk from here, I am to meet them there and exchange one person for
another, you stay around the corner and I will get my group and we will run
to you, as far as I know they have no boats so they will be unable to chase
us on the water, but you must be ready to leave as soon as we reach you.”

Desmond nodded “let’s do it.”


Two hours later the group reached a small clearing, waiting for them was the
man they knew as Henry Gale. He was accompanied by two blonde women. Ana
frowned in confusion at the sudden appearance of the man who was once their
prisoner. She looked around, throught the trees she could see the beach and
off it, a small dock. Then in the corner of her eye something moved, she
couldn’t be sure of what it was but she had an idea.

“I want my son!” Michael commanded “I have someone bringing the other one in
two days.”

The man nodded. then the women pulled out guns and aimed them at Michael.
“I’m sorry to tell you this but your son has been involved in an accident,
we were unable to resuscitate him.”

“Walt’s dead? No! no, you’re lying to me!” In one swift movement he grabbed
Ana as he had done to Kate and put a knife to her throat. “I’ll kill her!”

“Michael don’t!” Sawyer, Kate and Jack yelled at him

“Go ahead, she’s no use to us.” Henry chuckled

Once again Ana saw the bushes move and her suspicions were confirmed, she
shoved Michael’s arm away, causing him to fire into mid-air, then she
elbowed his head and he fell to his knees. Ana twisted his arm behind his
back and removed the gun.

While this was happening gunfire erupted from the bushes, the Other’s
dropped to the ground dead. Before they could get shot, Henry and the women
disappeared into the Jungle.

Sayid stood up “Let’s go, we have to hurry.”

Kate, Jack and Sawyer stood staring at the man in surprise but followed him
to the beach

“Leave him Ana.” He told her

She nodded and ran after the others, taking the gun with her.

When they reached the beach they heard a single shot and looked back, just
in time to see Michael drop to the ground, a gun falling from his hand.
Before anyone could speak a group of Others’ emerged from the bush armed
with guns and knifes. Ana began to fire at them but Jack stopped her “C’mon,
we have to run.” They took off running after Sayid, the others close behind
in pursuit.

Here's chapter 5, Thanks again Kenz! :P

“C’mon!” Jack grabbed Kate’s hand, pulling her along as they ran from the others, who were close behind and getting closer. Gunshots fired behind them, narrowly missing their tired bodies. Ana fired several shots back before Sawyer took her hand and pulled her along behind him. None of her bullets hit their target. Ana snatched her hand away from Sawyer’s, she was still angry with him. She ran up to Sayid

“Why are we running to the cliff? Shouldn’t we go into the jungle?” she asked between breaths

“Trust me.” Was all he said in reply

Slowly they approached the cliffs at the end of the beach but instead of slowing down Sayid sped up

“Sayid!” Kate yelled

“Jump!” There’s a boat!” he yelled back, seconds later he leapt over the edge, diving into the crashing waves below.

Kate stopped at the edge as did Jack, Sawyer and Ana, sure enough there was a boat, and it wasn’t a long drop to the water, just long enough to make them feel uncomfortable. There were no rocks at the bottom but the waves crashed violently, a storm was coming.

Syaid surfaced and began swimming towards the boat. Ana looked back, the others would meet them in a matter of seconds. Without a word she jumped off the cliff

“Ana!” Jack shouted after her

Looking back they realised they had no choice and Jack, Sawyer and Kate followed Ana and Sayid into the ocean.

Desmond pulled Sayid onto the boat then set the boat sailing, Sayid pulled Ana up then the others. The group sat in silence, catching their breath as the boat sailed away. Ana glanced up and saw the Others standing on the cliff watching them disappear.

“You alright Muchacha?” Sawyer glanced at Ana, she nodded briefly and went below deck into the cabin, she needed to get away from him, she didn’t want to deal with him right now. Jack watched her go, confused at the tension between them.

“Thank you” Sayid was saying to Desmond

“No problem brother, was that them?” he gestured at the cliff

Sayid nodded “We need to get to the Hatch quickly, a storm’s coming”

“Yes” Desmond agreed, the sky was black and heavy with rain “We should be there in about an hour.”


An hour later the yacht pulled into the camp, rain poured from the sky. After tying the boat to a tree the six figures fled from the beach and ran to the Hatch.
Dripping wet they entered the Hatch

“Whose there?” Came Locke’s voice

“We’re back” Jack replied. Libby and Locke rushed to greet them

“What happened? Where’s Michael?”

“Mike’s dead” Sawyer said flatly

“What?! Why? What happened?” Libby asked anxiously

The group proceeded to inform Locke and Libby briefly of what had happened.

"Ana's what???" they exclaimed when they heard the news

"Pregnant" Jack repeated. Out of the corner of her eye Ana could see Sawyer smiling at her affectionatly, she ignored him and smiled at Libby and Locke.

"Aaaah! congratulations!" Libby said grinning, she pulled Ana into a tight hug

Jack then continued with the story,
Ana said almost nothing. She wasn’t in the mood for talking to anyone, she just needed to get away so she could think.

“I’m gona get a drink” she said to no one in particular as she quietly slipped out of the room. Libby watched Ana Lucia disappear and frowned at her strange behaviour. Making an excuse she followed her to the bathroom where Ana was staring at herself in the mirror thoughtfully.

“Hey” Ana looked up, startled at the blonde woman’s presence.

“Hey”

“Are you okay?”

“I’m fine, just a little tired” Ana lied

“Are you and Sawyer okay…….with the baby and everything?” Libby pressed

“What does it matter? If I say no then you’ll shrink me and if I say yes then you’ll shrink me anyway” Ana snapped, irritated

“Ana I…” Libby began in her defence but stopped as Kate entered the room

“Sorry am I interrupting?”

“No, come in” Ana glared at Libby. Kate nodded and handed Ana a towel

“The guys said we can use the showers first.”

“Okay” Ana smiled slightly and disappeared into a cubicle. Libby sighed and left, Ana Lucia was irritating and stubborn.

“So…. You and Sawyer.” Kate interrupted Ana’s thoughts

“What ‘bout it?”

“When did it happen, if you don’t mind me asking”

“Almost a month ago.”

“Wow, congrats again, I’m really happy for you both.”

“Thanks.”

“You must be excited”

“Yeah”

Finally taking a hint, Kate stopped talking leaving Ana alone with her thoughts. She was so confused, she didn’t know what to do, she hated this place, and the people in it. She wanted so badly to get away, to leave all the problems but she knew she couldn’t, she knew she had to deal with them……somehow.

After several minutes Ana turned off the shower and retrieved her clothes from the drier in the laundry that was connected to the bathroom, then went to the Hatch’s bedroom and got dressed. She felt better after having a shower, and she wanted to find Sawyer, they needed to talk. Ana walked down the hall to take her towel to the washing machine but stopped in the doorway and stood staring in shock at what she could see;
Sawyer and Kate stood intimately close with their arms around each other affectionately in a tight embrace. Sawyer had no shirt on and Kate was naked apart from the towel that hung loosely around her body.

“You Bastard.” Ana hissed, Sawyer and Kate turned around in surprise and saw
Ana standing in the doorway glaring at them, angry and hurt.

“Calm down chica, it’s not….” Sawyer began but Ana wasn’t interested. She
marched straight up to Kate

“Ana?...........Ana!” Ana punched her, sending her slamming her into the
wall, before she had a chance to inflict any more pain on Kate, Sawyer
grabbed her, locking his arms around her.

“Calm down, there’s no need for that”

Every word he spoke made her angrier. She felt hurt and humiliated, she
didn’t want to here his stories and excuses. She stopped struggling just
enough for him to loosen his grip, as soon as he had Ana elbowed him sharply
in the stomach and lunged at Kate.
The women collapsed to the floor, Kate was struggling to keep the towel
around her and block Ana’s punches.

Hearing the shouting Jack rushed to the bathroom, he saw Ana pinning Kate
down and Sawyer getting up off the ground, he went to Ana and with one
effortless lift he pulled her off Kate and held her tightly by the wrists so
she couldn’t fight him.

Sawyer helped Kate up, she was very bruised and had a cut lip but other then
that she was okay. Ana glared at them both

“Ana let us explain..” Kate began “I was just upset about Michael and
everything, Sawyer was coming to have a shower and he found me, that’s all I
swear.”

Her gaze shifted from Sawyer to Kate and lingered there. She didn’t want to
hear their excuses, she was furious with them, especially Sawyer. But then
again, it wasn’t like she and Sawyer were married or had even made a
commitment to each other.

Ana turned to face Jack and kissed him forcefully,

“Hey!” Sawyer shouted. Jack pulled away

“Ana?” he questioned Sawyer grabbed her arm, forcing her to turn around

“What do you think you’re doin’?” She said nothing, she only starred at him,
expressionless.

“Answer me damnit!” He insisted. In one swift motion she punched him and ran
out of the room.

“Ana!” He shouted after her, but she was gone. Kate moved to help him but he
pushed her away and chased after Ana, Jack followed him closely.

Ana ran, she just needed to get away, she couldn’t think straight.
Everything was going wrong. As fast as she physically could she ran to the
door and went out into the rain, disappearing into the night.


Sawyer and Jack reached the door moments later to find it wide open “ANA!
Sawyer shouted into the rain, it was so dark that they could hardly see
anything. He ran out into the rain, “ANA! Come Back!” but there was no
reply.

“Sawyer come inside, we can look for her when the rain’s stopped, we won’t
find her now, she’ll be alright.” But Sawyer wasn’t listening he ran into
the jungle calling Ana’s name.


Ana didn’t know where she was going, she was just running away, it was so
dark she could only just see where she was going, and the rain clouded what
little vision she had. As she ran she carefully dodged the trees as they
appeared in front of her. In her haste she tripped and went tumbling to the
ground, hitting her head on a tree. Her head began to throb violently but
she didn’t even notice, she just got up and kept running, slightly dizzy.

Eventually she found herself on the beach. She sat down in the rain and
muddy sand and hugged her knees to her chest deep in thought


Moments later Sawyer came running along the beach calling her name, lost in
thought, she didn’t hear him. He saw her sitting on the beach and went over
to her and knelt in front of the shivering figure

“Hey there Muchacha” He said softly

Finally noticing his presence Ana frowned in disgust and got up to leave
again. Sawyer stood up and called after her

“Ana we need to talk.”

She stopped walkin, he never called her by her name.

“What’s there to talk about?” she didn’t turn around. He walked over to her

“Chica, there’s nothing goin on between me ‘n freckles” He said over her
shoulder. She whirled around and faced him

“I saw you Sawyer! You were practically naked with your arms around each
other!”

“Nothing happened alright!”

“Didn’t look like it” She shouted

“So you kissed Jack?! You know if anyone’s in the wrong here it’s you!” he
shouted back.

“Then why are you here? Leave me alone.” She stopped shouting and began to
walk away.

Before she could get away Sawyer grabbed her around the waist and tackled
her to the ground, pinning her underneath him.

“SAWYER!” she shouted “What are you …..” her words were silenced as his lips
came down on hers, he lent in and kissed her, just like the first time when she had kissed him. Ana kicked her legs weakly in protest but it was useless, she wasn’t strong enough to resist him at the moment.

Slowly she kissed him back, as soon as she did Sawyer pulled away grinning,
Ana looked up at him, smirking slightly at his goofy grin. His hair was
clinging to his face and they were both shivering with the cold, but they were okay now and that was what mattered.

“What-say we get out of the rain?” He whispered in her ear. Ana nodded
“Yeah.”

Sawyer helped her up and they walked up the beach hand in hand. Sawyer
turned to take one last look at the beach, there was something moving
further down the sand, he squinted and when he realised what it was he
jumped behind a tree, pulling Ana with him

“What are you doing?” Ana asked confused at his weird behaviour. He pointed
at the group of figures walking along the beach.
“The Others!” She whispered in surprise, “We have to get to the Hatch”

Awwwww!

I wanted to punch Sawyer not Kate, but punching Kate is more pleasure :lol: :lol: :box:

Kissing in the rain made me melt :wub:
