Anyways, speaking of Dotty...I just finished school so guess who's finishing her Dotty chapter? UH ANJEL! I think I'll post it on fanfiction first but I'll for sure post it here too!

My favorites? I'm really picky with Dotty's. Sometimes they make a great Dom but a horrible Letty or a great Letty and a cliché sucky plot... I nit pick too much at this. So to be honest? I don't have a favorite ...

I was gonna try and make it amazing, but MRU is kinda pointless to compete with :D . The biggest draw for Tables is probably This Is Me. There are some other awesome, awesome stories on there though too.

I hate most of the stories that have Dom with another character, or their own created characters. Unless the other character is only in there to serve as a means for either Dom or Letty to realise they still love each other and not that other person, in which case i might forgive them :lol:

Oh god Chelle I think atleast 75% of TF&TF Stories have OFC that butt in. I don't like OFC'S *spit spit* They annoy me...no matter what. Even my own OFC annoys me! Its really hard for me to find a really, really good TF&TF story, because I am picky. I have yet to find one, there are many that come close but I don't have any favorites yet.

People have a hard time grasping Dom and Letty in the right light. I find, its either one of them is too soft and the other too bitter, they're both bitter, they're both soft. I;ve seen some authors that came VERY close to fufilling that, however...if its not their characters its their plot... oh well right? Atleast I got some amusement.

I try my best from learning from others mistakes. Like how NEVER make Johnny's sister whateveryoudecidetonameher pregnant with Dom's kid. OVER DONE. I have lists that go and on about these things...

I can rant but I must really go tanning now while the sun is still out. ciao. I'll be back though, how can I miss out on an oppertunity to rant over DOTTY?

yes i agree, a lot of the time Letty is really unnecessarily bitchy to everyone, where in the film she only was with the skanks. and way too much of the time they have Dom cheating on Letty and her allowing it to happen.... as if she would?! :brow: I dont like it either :(

but then, you'll get a story where theyre really likable together. or you'll get an excellent Letty, which makes up for the crappy story.

my favourites tend to be pre-TFATF stories, that have Dom and Letty getting together in the first place. Cause you know unless it carries right through the events of the film that theyre gonna be together for the whole story :D .

and i know(!) about the Tran's sister thing - jesus, talk about overrated! :sleep: way too many of those, and way too many where Dom cheats on Letty with Tran's sister.

Pips - I dont do the best job of it :P . I started to clear off all the cr*p on it, get rid of all the junk, make the pages better and stuff...but the whole time i was concentrating on Tables I found noone was using it anymore, not even the members. So i have to admit ive really let it down :( . Maybe il spend some more time on it soon and have a big link to this site from there (at the minute there is a hotlink to here from there) on the front page. and possibly add some more recent up to date pics and stuff. But its never gonna get back to what it was...

i do love Tables Will Turn too though! Its still my baby.

some of the stuff on there is really good quality writing. obviously youve got some silly crossover ones, and some lame ass ones that got started and never finished. But yea...This Is Me makes up for all of those. Shes on chapter 180-something. That to me is amazing! I hope she hasnt stopped though cause she hasnt posted in a while... :help:

Hey, Crazy Yet Beautiful is my fic. And thanks for reading. I 'm glad you enjoyed it. All this new TFATF stuff makes me want to update but i've been stuck in a rut forever. I left off with them about to do the heist that went sour and i just don't know where to take it from there. Maybe something will come to me or I'll like be inspired at a weird moment. Aw thanks. And, I did post it here. It's on like page 3 if you go back 90 days. lol. I'm so bad with updating. I'm starting to feel inspired though. I just need the right words to pour out onto paper. lol. usually, I'll be at work, it'll be slow and I'll start jotting stuff down and then run with it. That hasn't happened in a long time. I'm feelin it though, so look for an update soon. ;)

lol. yeah, years ago i wrote an ending about how Letty died in Mexico from her injuries and then Dom was so upset that he killed himself to be with her. But I hate that ending. I don't want things to go down like that. lol. So I am now thinking of a new one that's not so....gruesome. lol.

Not dissing, but i dont like the stories, or rather mostly the one-shots, where either Dom or Letty kills themself cause the other has died. its not in character for either of them to do that. Id say they'd be more angry than anything else.
I dont mind if Letty's gotta die from that crash in a story, i dont like it but youre not supposed to. and she was spitting up blood so it was obviously more serious than we seen by watching it. Ive had her comatose or dead or pretending shes alright when she really isnt and other scenarios too :( .

i hate the stories whose summary says dom finds the girl of his dreams or something like that but dont say who...then you get your hopes up that its letty and the second u open it hes talking bout how he had to leave letty cuz she was abotch or something and not the one for him...

i always read a summary that i thinks interesting and almost 80% of the time theyve brought in their own character to steal Dom away from Letty for the very reason you said Julz. Either theyve got Letty dead, or they have it that Letty left Dom cause she couldnt take anymore of his sh*t, or they have them break up cause Lettys always acting like a bitch, in their fics.
Those are the people who do not understand the relationship between Dom and Letty. Those are the people who didnt properly watch everyones performance in the film, just Vin's. Cause if they'd watched everyone, including Michelle, they'd understand Letty better and feel the history between them. All they see when they watch Letty is the scene where she hisses at the skanks and thats all they remember, and they write her like thats the way she is throughout her life.
When if they'd been watching the whole thing, they'd see that Letty is smiling and cheery in every scene with the Team, except for at the end when shes anxious doing the heist. They get her character so wrong.
I dont read those ones. Any that summarise Dom finds the woman of his dreams and it aint Letty, im screaming at the screen Letty IS the woman of his dreams and hitting the back button :P .

I agree Julzand allaboutangel, it's like people just don't understand the relationship with Dom and Letty.

And I hate it when people write an interesting summary and I start reading only to find out that Dom ends up with someone else.

I find that when I really get into a fic the author doesn't finish it and am left wanting to know what happens in the end.

Listen, if your so called OFC (with ofcourse has the either common name or weird...totally made up weird name) is sooo perfect for Dom why the hell is he with Letty? And don't say she died, she's a b..... or what not... that's so done 'til death. Dom won't cheat on Letty, Trans sisters won't have Dom's baby, and Dom won't leave Letty for the girl next door who's a hotter version of Letty with attitude and that can race/kick ass just as good as her, if not better. Geez guys, get your head together and stop making the stupid storylines. If you're going to write any of these add a little flavor and make it unique from the others.

Come on people its not THAT hard...

But really, are there any fanfics where Letty doesn't die or break it off with Dom for one reason or another? Because I have yet to find one...

Those fics ANNOY me so much.. and i dont even read that much Dotty Fanfics. but when i do i have to sort through all those annoying ones first!!

lets face it all those fics where dom leaves letty for someones OFC is just those girls (maybe boys) being jealous of letty so they make up these mary jane, better versions of themselves and then pretend that dom would somehow fall for them...

lets think about this dom is the one in the movie who says he loves her and dreams about her so hes obviously head over heels for her...so when they all write that he meets the girl of his dreams they better remember that in the movie he clearly stated it was letty...

oh and when they have their OFC win a fight or race with letty....thats just completely unrealistic...nothing and no one could beat michelle...

To be honest I'm just not a fan of....nor do I bother to read any TFATF fic which features Letty getting pregnant and taking off, Dom cheating on Letty and her taking off, Dom being an ass and Letty taking off and returning YEARS later with a new guy, etc. These have all been done about a hundred times. Ugh. My biggest pet peeve of all though are the ones who portray Letty as this annoying snot mouthed girl who is virginal and head over heels for the god that is Dominic Torretto, pining for him until he finally notices her and then her world is complete. Dom needs Letty a whole hell of a lot more than she needs him (even if he doesn't know it....or didn't act like it years ago). I just think many people have trouble portraying Letty and I'm tired of reading about this girl who'd never kissed nor slept with anyone....Dom's her first and only and her whole friggin world and she lives and dies by his approval of her....in between being so damn rude and cursing at everyone that is. I hate that depiction of Letty....and that's usually all there is. Ugh again.

This is why writing my new fic has been hard. There's very little room left in TFATF fics for creativity as just about any and all storylines, possibilities, interactions, etc. have been covered....still....I try. :P

It's definitley disappointing to read fics that don't portray Dom and Letty the way they really are. It's like "We're you watching the same movie as me?" lol.
I don't think people should be allowed to write fics that end up like that. It should be like a cardinal rule: Dom and Letty must remain together. lol. Let them fight and go through tough times, but in the end, they are perfect for each other.

Funny, i see things differently,their story is so underdeveloped in the movie that i understand why some Mary Sues think they can take Dom away from Letty.
From the movie you get their great chemistry and how fierce Letty is,but you also see Dom shamessly flirting with some ho and having a past of cheating(or at least sleeping with trash :lol:),plus there's the fact that Dom/Brian could be seen as one big love affair waiting to happen :P
This all Dotty love is not obvious to all,just a few inlighted souls who probably have read some great dotty fics and get lousy scrip and awsome fics all mixed into one very strange,very real obssession :D

That's true about the underdeveloped story line. And oh god, lol, Dom/Brian. lol. That is sooo funny. The cool thing is the people like us that kind of saw past the underdevelped story and used that to create their own. When it comes to good Dom/Letty stories I mean.

I saw TFATF twice in theatres. The first time I didn't think much of it. Then I saw Girlfight and was like "Hey, thats the girl from TFATF!" So I had to see it again. That's when I really became intrigued with Dom and Letty, and the whole team really. With what little they gave us, you could just tell there was so much more to them, that they really are one big family. And even when Dom flirted, it's like you just knew that that's all it was. That none of those skanks could even come close to competing with Letty. That's what I got out of it anyway. God, I REALLY want them to make a fourth and focus on expanding the Dom/Letty relatioship and even bring back some of the team. I think they owe it to us to finish what they started 5 friggin years ago. lol.

It's been that long :o ???That's longer than most marriages :P
